Live From The Path · Season 2013, Episode 3
Free Will and Genuine Love
Topics covered
- The godisimaginary.com proofs rebuttal series — The show's recurring apologetics series walking through the 50 'proofs God is imaginary' from godisimaginary.com and answering each (this week: proof #33, 'contemplate the crucifixion'; #32 deferred to next week). ≈ 18:30
- Crucifixion and atonement — The crucifixion as the perfect, necessary sacrifice for sin — absurd without the Old Testament sacrificial system and the full counsel of scripture, coherent within it. ≈ 18:30
- Free will and genuine love — God gave humans free will so love and relationship could be genuine; sin separates people from God, and Christ's sacrifice bridges that gap. ≈ 18:30
- God's glory and the timing of answered prayer — God intervenes when he will get the glory and be recognized as loving; perceived unanswered prayer may be God waiting for the moment his hand will be seen. ≈ 18:30
- Living limitless: freedom in Christ — Breaking self-imposed chains of the past, fear, and the old life to live the way God intended — freedom in Christ as an accomplished fact, not a feeling. ≈ 5:56
- Music ministry: the Limitless Tour and new music — The Limitless Tour's message to youth, Double J's upcoming 'Limitless' album (planned April release, Kickstarter planned), and both guests writing songs out of honest frustration expressed to God. ≈ 5:56
- News outrage vs. eternity thinking — Stop being incredulous that a fallen world rejects God; organizations don't spend eternity separated from God — individual people do — so invest relational energy in individuals rather than group battles. ≈ 48:23
- Christ sufficiency — In loneliness and temptation (e.g., alone on work travel), Christ's sufficiency replaces self-sufficiency — remembering what Christ has brought you from changes how you endure what you're stuck in. ≈ 55:55
- Wedding keepsake theft — Whether to confront wedding guests who stole hand-painted keepsake wine glasses, and how 1 Corinthians 6:7 ('why not rather be defrauded?') properly applies to lawsuits between believers, not confronting theft. ≈ 1:01:12
- Blended-family conflict: lying children — When a boyfriend's children lie about his girlfriend to their mother, the girlfriend is doing nothing wrong — the father must address his children's lying and clear the air with his ex. ≈ 1:08:45
- Propriety of intimate gifts — Whether a man may give a woman intimate gifts like lingerie: reserved for marriage (husband to wife only), avoided before marriage as temptation, and no one else's business to give your spouse such gifts. ≈ 1:10:59
Segments
- Show open from the Pathway Studios 0:00–0:48
The produced intro plays: 'Live from the Pathway Studios in Johnston Proper. You are live from the path.' A short sung warm-up bit follows before a host begins the show.
- Tonight's agenda, proofs week 33, and a new sponsor 0:48–5:56
Ben lays out the evening: week 33 of the godisimaginary.com proofs series (proof #33, 'contemplate the crucifixion'; proof #32 'talk to a theologian' was skipped and moves to next week), pope-style advice, a news segment on spending time on things that don't matter, and Dear LFTP letters about social faux pas. Dan Hudson is out sick. Ben welcomes a new sponsor, the Bob Eisenlauer team (Bob previously guested and brought caramel apples; he helped Mike buy and sell his latest house).
- Limitless Tour guests in studio: Double J and Cass 5:56–10:06
The hosts interview musical guests from the Limitless Tour: Double J (Jesse), whose new album 'Limitless' (planned April release, Kickstarter in Feb/March) centers on 'living limitless' — breaking the chains of the past, fear, and the future because God is bigger than them. A host connects it to his own reading of James: Christians who live 'in chains like a fool' when Christ has set them free, and joy as evidence of paying attention to God. Tour member Troy is also in studio.
- Double J performs 'Breathe' and discusses the song 10:06–18:30
Double J performs his original song 'Breathe' live in studio, written three weeks earlier after four hours of yelling his frustrations at God from his car — about staying in open communication with God. Afterward he explains the songwriting (a new hook-writing approach after years of critics saying he wasn't good enough; lines like 'billy goats gruff', a Sonic commercial reference, and 'a vacant hospital, I had no patients'), the upcoming Limitless album, the planned Kickstarter with prizes (Double J sunglasses, a signed six-foot banner), and the hosts joke about a 48-hour fundraising telethon.
- Proof #33: contemplate the crucifixion 18:30–35:39
The hosts read and rebut proof #33 from godisimaginary.com, which calls the crucifixion absurd: an all-knowing God who designed human nature, foresaw every sin, and then had himself crucified to feel better. Mike's first thoughts: the author ignores free will — genuine love can't be forced, and God gave the option to rebel so relationship means something; God hates the separation sin causes, not his children. Ben adds that God intervenes when he'll get the glory and be seen as loving, which is why some prayers seem unanswered. Mike warns against 'putting a lasso around God' and dragging him down to your level out of pride. Troy notes the irony that an avowed atheist concedes from the Bible that Jesus claimed to be God. Cass argues the proof takes pieces out of context — like a kitten puzzle rearranged to look like Betty White. Ben closes: the full counsel of scripture is one piece; the barrier isn't logic but pride — accepting you're a sinner who needs a supernatural reconciliation. Proof #32 ('talk to a theologian') moves to next week.
- The paid theologian comedy riff 35:40–37:24
After Ben previews next week's proof #32 ('talk to a theologian'), the hosts riff on whether 'theologian' is a real paid profession — 'I'm just a paid theologian' — joking that theologians just regurgitate the Lord's word, write the devotionals (like Our Daily Bread), and dictate textbooks ('Sit down, Martha. Chapter one.'). One host admits he'd enjoy the job.
- Getting to know Cass Lester and the packed Grand Am 37:25–39:28
The hosts interview Cass Lester, who joined the Limitless Tour after reconnecting with Double J; they knew each other growing up and share a common message. The standout story: the three tour members fit an entire merch table, a six-by-ten-foot aluminum banner rig, all their merch, bags, laptops, a full drum set, a guitar, and themselves into Double J's 2004 Pontiac Grand Am — 'a tight fit.' A host jokes about self-deprecating fat jokes being fine ('if it's against myself and I'm losing weight, I think it's completely okay') but not the same from someone else.
- Cass Lester performs 'Smoke Screen' and tour dates 39:28–46:13
Cass Lester performs his original song 'Smoke Screen' live with guitar — written out of frustration when he realized he couldn't handle things he thought he could, lyrics he felt he couldn't take to God, as a way to get feelings off his chest. Afterward he says the song isn't on an album yet; he's recording himself and lost his voice before the tour, with a few songs on his Facebook page. The hosts run through remaining tour dates: Ottumwa (Bridges Group), Ankeny (Open Bible youth group), Albia, and Sheffield before heading home to their daily grinds.
- Ben's Vaudeville Muse stocking-hat creeper story 46:20–48:22
Ben tells the story of attending the Limitless Tour show at the Vaudeville Muse: he's not a 'jazz around' live-music guy, and three people he'd had on the show didn't recognize him because of his stocking hat — he looked like 'a creeper' sitting alone in a long coat at the bar, and a guy at the bar mistook him for a kindred spirit ('he was 70% denim'). The same guy later said the show was awesome. Ben transitions into the news segment.
- News: stop being surprised; invest in individuals, not group battles 48:23–54:23
Ben's news monologue: he tries to keep it quick but lands on how Christians spend time on outrage that doesn't matter — the Louie Giglio inauguration-prayer controversy and the Lance Armstrong saga. His thesis: stop being incredulous that a fallen world rejects God (like his wife being incredulous about his socks on the floor eight years into marriage). 'Organizations do not spend an eternity separated from God. Individual people do.' Winning earthly battles against groups is 'winning an earthly battle and losing a forever war' — so shake a hand, get a name, and influence people personally. Mike adds that he and Ben were invited to broadcast from a right-to-life rally, expected to hate the protest vibe, and were uplifted when every speaker spoke from the heart of Christ. KTIA 99.3 listeners are cut off; the podcast/live audience continues.
- Post-break banter and the 48-hour telethon returns 54:27–55:54
Back from the KTIA break for the live/podcast audience, Double J calls the hosts his favorite people in the world and the hosts mock-protest. The 48-hour fundraising telethon joke for Double J's album resurfaces — Troy wants in, someone must juggle on a unicycle, and Cass declares 'I can lift a car… I can lift a candy bar.' Ben pivots: 'Mike, so what's your Pope style advice?'
- Pope-style advice: Christ sufficiency on a lonely work trip 55:55–1:01:11
Mike gives his pope-style advice: stuck in a hotel on a work trip, missing his wife and kids, he felt the familiar pull toward a sinful mindset — doing anything to feel better. Then it hit him: 'What did I ever do before I knew you?' He realized he has 'Christ sufficiency' instead of self-sufficiency: 'I have a life that I used to live that I don't live anymore.' His advice: take time to realize what Christ has brought you from (or, if you don't know him, what he can bring you from); God is exactly who he says he is, his promises are exactly true — obey and you won't be so worn out. The hosts riff on the 'six pairs of undies on your head' illustration.
- Dear LFTP: the stolen wedding wine glasses 1:01:12–1:09:41
A listener writes that her niece hand-painted wine glasses as keepsakes for each adult guest at her daughter's wedding reception; by evening's end, glasses had vanished from the family table, the head table, and the artist's own table — some out-of-town guests took four to six each, one woman's child making multiple trips to her car. Question: should they ask for the glasses back? The hosts land on yes, ask — it's theft, not entitlement. They debate 1 Corinthians 6:7 ('why not rather be defrauded?'): Ben clarifies that verse is about lawsuits between believers that expose the church to worldly courts, not a ban on confronting theft. Secular's answer: ask, but there's no guarantee they'll be returned; don't let it cause in-law problems before the marriage begins; maybe the artist will paint another pair for the bride and groom.
- Dear LFTP: boyfriend's kids are lying to their mother 1:08:45–1:10:59
A listener in a one-year relationship with a divorced father of two thought she got along great with his kids, but they're making up lies about her to their mother; the boyfriend and his ex fight about everything. The hosts' verdict is quick and unanimous: she's doing nothing wrong — the kids are lying, and it's the father's job to deal with his children's lying, not hers. Secular's answer: the kids may be trying to break the couple up hoping their parents reunite, or telling their mother what she wants to hear; the boyfriend must clear the air with his former spouse.
- Dear LFTP: should a man give a woman intimate gifts? 1:10:59–1:14:49
A listener raised in the South by a proper mother asks whether a man should ever give a woman intimate gifts like lingerie — she says it's unacceptable even if engaged; her friend disagrees. The hosts conclude: intimate gifts belong where the intimacy is — husband to wife only, and nobody else should be giving your wife intimate gifts. Before marriage, a man should avoid it because it puts him 'in the straights' of temptation; don't walk the line of religiosity and call sin where there is none. On online vs in-store shopping for intimate gifts, they joke that in-store is the safe move since online models wear the products. Secular's answer: the two should agree to disagree.

Live from the Pathway Studios in Johnston Proper. You are live from the path. Man. I get things done. Hey. You look to life the past. The holy ghost. Well, guess it could be. You're
a Justin Crawford. Working man. Oh, yes. I a agent of a lady. No. That's hot, fellas. That's that's everything I wanted and more. That's good to hear. Okay. Hey, man. I tell you what. It should be a great show tonight. I'm excited, Biv. I I say that with with every intention to make it so.
I I I yeah. I'll do my best not to make a liar out of myself for the start of this thing. Here's what we got going on. First of all, we got a whole gaggle of folks in from the Limitless Tour. Cass is in here. Jesse's in here. Double j's back. I I bet that's that's that's effeminate, what you're doing. Sorry. I hey, man. This guy this guy smile emoticon to me on the Facebook again this week. Why why can't I do that? We talked about this the last time he was in here. The smile emoticon. There's nothing like, hey, buddy. How's it going? Smile icon. Right. Look what I found in my purse. The smile icon. I could've winky faced you. Fella to fella. It's not I'm just gonna wink face you from now on, man. That's a mistake. I I I'm not sure what it tells me about you, but it's certainly something that you don't wanna spread. You know what? It's alright. It's just something You you know me. You know me. We
are we are working on week 33 from the proofs on godisimaginary.com. He's got 50 proofs that he thinks lay out the case that god is imaginary. God is 32 and o. This week, we're working on proof number 33, contemplate the crucifixion. This one is likely to be offensive. You skipped the theologian. Yeah. You skipped 32. Oh, no. Really? Yeah. Yep. Okay. Let's do the theologian then. I wasn't gonna call you out on that part. Proof. Oh, man. I've already tanked the show. No. No. Just do the do the crucifixion one, and then we'll and then we'll do Do we start it over, though? Yeah. Go ahead. Like, the whole show? No. Just fire we fired up? No. That's fine. Okay. Alright. So let's do the crucifixion this week. We'll go back to talk to a theologian next week. Good. We'll get one in. Alright. So what what what we're gonna basically, what we're gonna do and the whole point of this thing is, as James said, we should be able to give a defense of the of the faith and the hope that we have. And so we're gonna walk through this. This, this is a barrier for this guy and thinking that God is real could be a legitimate barrier for somebody else. So we're just gonna talk about it and see if we can, come to a place, come together, and reason as to whether this thing actually disproves God or not. The odds are on the lord's side. I feel like he's he's not gonna win, but we're certainly gonna give him a fair shot. Yeah. Yeah. He's gonna get a fair shake. So we're gonna go through that. Also, pope style advice, the basic premise here is that if you were to walk out on your front lawn in the morning, you saw a thousand people and think of it like the pope does when he's on that big balcony. Right? And he gives he says things to people. So you got a thousand people on your front lawn, and they're not gonna leave until you give them some sort of advice, something that's meaningful to them coming from your life. What would you say? There's gotta be some days when he phones that in. Right? Like, you can't have something poignant every morning.
I I don't think when I when I say Pope's style advice, I'm not sure he actually gives his own advice. Well, I'm hoping to give him the lord's advice, but That's what I'm saying. Okay. He might call Oprah. Maybe he does maybe he gets it from a devotional. He gets like It'll be awesome if the pope brings a devotional and then steals it. Can you imagine being the author of that devotional? Be like, wait a minute. I've heard this. Wrote that. Okay. It'd be hard to be that guy because he'd be like, well, you got it from the Bible anyway. So you stole it from Jesus. The pope stole it from you. It's a never ending circle. People steal it from the Lord. It's going down the line. Yeah. I bet the pope gets our daily bread Absolutely. Female style at the Vatican at 04:30. Alright. So we're gonna do some, pope style advice. Also, we're gonna quick we're gonna do a quick talk about what's in news and and why that doesn't matter. And, I will spearhead that thing because there's some some stuff going on this week that really irritates me. I feel like we're spending our time in the wrong spot, so we'll touch on that a little bit. And, we'll also, we'll end up the evening with some, some dear life from the past. People, Mike, people need help. The the economy's, they say it's turned around, but, not everyone's feeling stuff's going on in the house and and people need help, but I think we can help them on this dear life. That scares me. Dan Hudson's missing the day. And Dan Hudson's he's he's usually our our fallback, advice man. You know what I'm saying? There's no there's nobody that has poignant words of wisdom like Dan Hudson, and he's feeling a little bit the weather. But, we're gonna trudge through this thing, and and, I I from what I can tell, and I I've just surfaced these, there's a there's some social faux pas is what's going on. And there's nothing that we do better than social faux pas. No. That's true. If there's if there's a a quick road to high society, it's right through the Life From The Past studios. And so, I I think we can be able to straighten this thing out and get you back on top of etiquette and ready for life. Yeah. I I completely agree. Hey. And before I go any further, just, real quick, I wanna welcome a new sponsor to the show. The Eisenhower team has decided to come on, and and we you've seen you've met Bob. Bob's been on the show a couple times, a couple of great guys, helped Mike sell and and buy his his latest house. What he means by help, he means he did the whole thing. I didn't really do anything. I said, Bob, I want a place. He goes, here you go. I said, Bob, I gotta sell the place. And then he said, I know how real estate works.
I'll sell it. I said, okay. Great. And he did both of them, and it was quick, and it was easy, and he's just, they're they're an awesome group of fellows to work with. I got nothing but good things to say about them, so I'm very excited to have them on board. Yep. Yep. Me too. You can go check out more about them @Eisenhowerteam.com. I'll tell you this. If you remember the first time Bob came on the show, he brought, caramel apples. He did. I mean, fresh caramel apples that someone had made, you know, personally. He didn't even, like, buy it from the store and crack open the case or anything. And I thought you I thought how you made friend was was investing in a relationship, phone calls, whatnot. Candied apples do it like this. Candied apples. I mean, they skip three months worth of phone calls and and drivel and just get right to, hey. We're buds. I like you enough to bring candied apples. Yeah. I I I'm not promising they're gonna bring you candied apples if they sell your place. No. We're not high quality people. It's a possibility. Eisenhower does stuff like that. Don't expect that from life from the path. We still do the drivel and the phone calls. Yeah. But the Eisenhower team is definitely they're that's that's kinda up to their game.
Alright. So I I tell you what, let's let's catch up with these guys raising the temperature in here. For the limitless tour, Double J, it's been a little bit. How are things going? Things are going extremely well. I am in another state. I'm now based out of Minnesota, so that's kinda new. But, yeah, it it it's just a a new journey for me. Now I heard a rumor this week about you. What was that? And I'd like to have you defend yourself about it. Go ahead. What rumor? I don't know. I was hoping the way you defended yourself without whatever problems you have in your life. I I don't I don't know what rumor you're talking about. Shoot. Oh. Well, that failed. Yeah. I really thought I was gonna lure him in. You know? That was a crashing party. They do that stuff on TV. You know? They go they they make it sound like they know something. A guy just, like, outs himself. So you're like, you know, don't tell mama that I that I drink all the iced tea or whatever. And I thought that was gonna happen. Well, I I guarantee you, I did not drink all the iced tea. Is that what's going on? Because I feel like twenty twenty is really losing its edge. I do like iced tea, though. I do I do like iced tea, but I didn't drink at all. Yeah. I you're right, Ben. Still should
Mike, I start the show over? Because I'm in feel like I'm gonna be We're gonna trudge on. Dan's rolling. Alright. Good stuff. Let's keep it going. Alright, So tell me a little bit about how the how the tour's been going. The tour's been good. We started on the the twelfth, early the twelfth, on very little sleep and a lot of it's it's been it's been going really well. We've been in Minnesota. We've been in South Dakota. We've been traveling through Iowa this past week. We still have a week to go. It's just been an experience. We've we've met a lot of people, played a lot of places, and touched a lot of lives with the message that we bring. So it's it's been good. So I I was actually I caught the show at the Vaudeville Muse this past Thursday, and I would agree. I it was it was excellent. It was, I I hadn't actually been able to check out, the full show live. Yep. And, and and I was impressed, and I heard some new music. So is there a is there a particular bent to your to your music that, that perhaps someone who heard you a year ago would notice differently?
Yeah. I I've been I've been taking a different approach to my writing. And as well as the tour itself is based off the new album that I'm releasing in April, which I had to push back called Limitless. The whole point of this entire tour or the message that we're bringing is living limitless, living without the chains of, like, our past, of our, you know, our fears, our our our futures, all that kind of stuff. So the message we wanna bring to the youth that are that are listening to us is like, you know what? God is bigger than everything that you're facing right now and all the things that you have faced. So the point is, like, when we finally break free of the limitations on our life, we can live the way god intended us to live. That's the whole point. I mean, the whole point of all the music I'm bringing, all the songs that I'm doing, the whole like, the focus of it is to live limitless, to raise up a limitless era. And just kinda lead into the album when it releases. And it's just it's been an awesome experience for all of us. You know, that's been something that that's been on kinda on my mind over the last, I don't know, the last week or so. And it's just how how mundane or how basic our lives end up being.
And, you know, I I don't know. I I don't know why that particular thing has come up, but but, like, it fits in a lot with what you're talking about. It's like the the limits that we have are self imposed. Yeah. Actually, I and I I I think I've, I've been almost reading through the the same, parts of bible that Ben has, but I've been kinda I've been kinda stuck in James here the last couple days. And, like, the more I read it, the more I feel like, like, he's he's talking about almost exactly what you're talking about, is that, you know, I I don't know how many people who claim to be a follower of Christ really still live in chains like a fool. Right? And the that's exactly what the Bible will call you. You've act you acting like your old ways. You're acting like a fool. That you you've been proven free in Christ. You have freedom to do as you, as you want, as as God has given you, and and you still chain yourself to this world like you're like you're part of it. And you're not. You're walking on the edge of this thing and and and you weave in and out and and you're in it but not of it and and I feel like I do the same thing. It was actually pretty convicting and so I I think that's a pretty awesome message if people can grab onto it Exactly what it does mean to be free in Christ because you shouldn't be you shouldn't be in your old life and feel better. Right? You should be looking at your old life behind you and going, I'm glad that's gone. I feel so much more joy in in what I got going. And if if if something stealing your joy and if and if your joy isn't prevalent in your in your relationship with Christ, it's not him that's left you. It's it's you that's not paying attention and and and taking the joy god's offered. So, that's that's pretty cool. Yeah. Thank you. Alright. Well,
I I I tell you what, do you want to let's do this. Let's let's hear let's hear a tune. Okay. And and then we'll get to to our proof and then we'll get to know Cass a little bit better. Okay. Tell me a little bit about Breathe. The song Breathe was actually written three weeks ago. It is it was a surprise last addition to the album because I'm still in the final processes of it. It was written at a point when I was extremely overwhelmed with a lot of things because a lot of things have been going on. And I just got to a point where I just broke down, and I was angry about a lot of things, and I just, you know, called out to God with the song. I think I sat in my car for about a good four hours just yelling the song out and kinda yelling everything I was feeling at the time out to God, and this song was born from that. It was just kind of a way for me to overcome and get everything because I because there needs to be an open link between you and God. Like, there needs to be an open communications. This is just me expressing how I felt to God about my current situation, and this song just kind of came out of that that that conversation. Okay. Well, sweet. Let's let's get it rolling. This is Breathe. You're listening to j j on Live From The Path.
Tonight. Tonight. I'm angry and dang quit saying eyes on the sky. Let me reprise like a thief for the night. We're not defocused on the fight. Let god provide losing sight. This is our job, so stop calling on the throne. Wide our wrongs to get god back into an ill society where he belongs. So I know there are times and I won't lie. Wanna give up. Maybe the grass is green on the other side, but that's a lie. This ain't no goats gruff. Five years still unsigned. Critics gave me a c plus. Guess what? Guess double j didn't quite stack up because it didn't make the cut. Some days get so angry, work so hard, don't get what we earn. Days I wanna sit back in my yard chair, observe it's corrupt world burns. Use the flame to light my candle. Use the glare to see the words that I write. But in the end, I just can't because so many are in a beautiful light. And some just want to watch the world burn.
And some just want to watch the world burn. The lessons learned gotta wait waiting for your return because I can't breathe in.
And I can't breathe in. I'm overwhelmed by this now. God, I need you to let me in because I can't breathe in.
Uh-oh. Oh. I can't breathe in. I need you now. And God, come down. Oh, I need you
here again because I can't breathe. Because I can't because I can't because I can't breathe.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'll be playing when I say it. I'm a vacant hospital. Have no patients. Blue Sonic's mine. 55. Oh goodness gracious, I need a vacation. This generation's standing on a breaking moral foundation, so welcome to your moral desolate. Because sooner or later, this place about to cave in. Distasteful, oh well, here I go. Show and tell, the media knows that sex sells, but your emotion, sex kills. Think we lost our moral compass, got drunk past out in a stairwell. Someone tell me, someone let me know. How can all this just end well? The world burn.
And the lessons learned gotta wear waiting for your return because I can't breathe in.
And I can't breathe in. I'm overwhelmed by this now. God, I need you to let me in because I can't breathe
in. Uh-oh. Oh. I can't breathe overwhelmed by this now.
God, I need you to let me in because I can't breathe in. Uh-oh. Oh. I can't breathe in. I can't I'm overwhelmed
by this now. God, I need you to let me in. And I can't breathe in. And I can't breathe
in. And I need you now. And god, come down. Oh, I need you here again because I can't breathe. Thank you. So
yeah. Yeah. That was intense. It very intense. I liked it. It was very intense when I wrote it. So yeah. It's Did you say Billy Goats gruff in there? I did. That's cool. I also I also dropped a Sonic commercial, and I also said it was a vacant hospital. I had no patients. Okay. Got that one. I thought that was pretty sweet. I really like that one. Thank you. Yeah. That was solid. It it it the song kinda I mean, I I wrote it out of, like, complete just frustration, but I also when I wrote it, I used new techniques to write the hook, like, chorus of the song. Because I always that that was the big critique on it. I even mentioned that in the song, like, you know, it's been five years, not not signed, because critics say, you know, I wasn't good enough, you know. And the song was written from a new standpoint. Like, this time, I'm gonna go ahead and write this. I'm gonna sit down. I'm gonna work on this differently. I'm gonna take a new approach. And that's kinda how the song was born. It was just a brand new approach for me as an artist to write a new kind of song. And that that's just that's how it happened. I like the I thought the verse was pretty sweet spitfire, and then it kinda drug you back down like, wait a minute. Don't don't get running away here. Calm down. Here's what we're gonna talk about. And it's like, here comes again. Like, I really like it. I thought I thought it was well I really enjoyed it. And that's and that's gonna be on the CD coming up in April? That will be on the Limitless EV. Alright. Yeah.
Can I hold you to April? In April? I I'm really hoping so. I'm still in the funding phase, but that's the plan. Now is there can people help out with this? You got a Kickstarter or anything? Kickstarter will be starting probably in February or March. Okay. There will be a Kickstarter where you can you can help and you probably win some stuff. If want if you wanna, you know, pledge money, we can get some prizes. Can you win a pair of the double j sunglasses? You can get a pair of the double j sunglasses. You can also probably win a signed double j banner. Six feet tall, two feet wide. It's pretty legit. Six feet tall. It was it was a banner for my table. My my old merch table. You okay. Hold on. You're selling your used tablecloth with your with your signature rod? No. It's not. Feel like that's outrageous. It's a table it's not a tablecloth. It's an actual, like, banner. Like, the actual Tell me the difference between a banner and a tablecloth. Tablecloth will rip if you cut it with scissors. Okay. So you have a sheet of aluminum that you use for your tablecloth. Well, yeah, made out of aluminum foil and a and a nice little Sharpie. It was nice. It took a long time. I love it. Mike, you wanna do a telethon to raise money for Double J's album? A telethon. I could. Like, we'll get some suits and stuff and pull on, I don't know, like, forty eight hour telethon. Oh, jeez. Yeah. We'll just stay at forty eight hours straight, see what we come up with. We'll do forty eight hours worth of broadcasting. No preparation or whatever. Yeah. We'll bring on we'll bring on guests to redo Double J's tunes. I'll be guest number one. Yeah. Who's a guest number two?
I feel like we can pull it off. We'll get an asthmatic to do that last one. Yeah. That's beautiful. Beautiful. The cruel irony. That's beautiful.
Wow. I have no words. It's terrible. Alright. You're listening to Life From The Path. Please send your regrets to [email protected]. Very, very, very cool. I tell you what, let's let's
get into our proof. So we decided to go with we're gonna go with proof number 33 from the 50 proofs from goddessimaginary.com, and proof number 33 is contemplate
the crucifixion. He says, have you ever thought about how bizarre the crucifixion story is? Imagine the all powerful, all knowing creator of the universe sitting on his magnificent throne in heaven. He looks down onto earth and says to himself, those evil humans down on earth, I hate what they are doing, all this sin. Since I am all knowing, I know exactly what the humans are doing, and I understand exactly why they commit each sin. Since I created the humans in my own image and personally programmed human nature into their brains, I'm the direct author of all this sin. The instant I created them, I knew exactly what would happen with every single human being right down to the nanosecond level for all eternity. If I didn't like how it was going to turn out, I could have simply changed them when I created them. And since I am perfect, I know exactly what I'm doing, but ignore all that. I hate all these people doing exactly what I perfectly designed them to do and know and knew they would do from the moment I created them. I hate it. I tried killing all the humans and animals once in the flood. That certainly did not fix the problem. So here's what I'm going to do. I will artificially inseminate a virgin. She will give birth to an incarnate version of me. The humans will eventually crucify and kill the incarnated me. That final will make me happy. Yes. Setting myself down and having the humans crucify me, that will satisfy me. I feel much better now. His commentary is it makes no sense, does it? Why would an all knowing being need to have humans kill himself, Jesus is god after all, to make himself happy, especially since he's a perfect god who set the whole thing in motion exactly the way he wanted it. The whole story of the crucifixion is absurd from top to bottom if you actually stop to think about it. If you believe the story of Jesus, Jesus clearly knew that he is God. In John chapter 14 verse eight, he says, Philip said to him, Lord, show us the father. We shall be satisfied. Jesus said to him, have I been with you so long that you do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the father. So it makes you wonder about Jesus' famous lamentation in Matthew 27 about the ninth hour. Jesus cried out in a loud voice, Eli, Eli, which means, my god, my god, why have you forsaken me? Since Jesus is god, what he really must have meant was, myself, myself, why have I forsaken me? Which, of course, makes absolutely no sense. The reason why the crucifixion makes no sense is because God
is imaginary. Mike, first thoughts. He it's kinda odd because he is usually fairly good at rebutting
the first our our first rebuttal. You know, like, when he does a sub synopsis of, if you believe in Jesus, you will probably say this, blah blah blah blah blah. And he's usually fairly good at nailing that down, and he has not done that this time. His broad sweeping in the beginning, he likes to talk about that he knew that people would rebel against him. True. He did know that. He'd say his one of his major points was that God programmed to do this. Why would you not expect this to happen? And the truth is is that I think and you'll see the Bible will lay this out that, you know, God obviously, you know, gave us the choices of free will so you could have a genuine love. You can't have a genuine love for something when you're forced into it. Right? So
with the option of rebelling comes the option of not rebelling. Though the option of sin because the option of not sinning. You know, having the option of being in relationship with God, means more because you have the option of not doing it. And so, like, he ignores that part almost completely. It makes it look like god designed us to fail, and then was upset at us for it. And and, really, that wasn't the case. We were designed
with a with a a free will. We chose to separate ourselves from God. He knew that was gonna happen. That's not a big shocker. But, what he did provide was the ability for us to come back into relationship with him. He's not he doesn't not love his children. He he doesn't love the choices they're making. He doesn't love the separation. Right? Like and and who would who would say, you know, if if I had a long lost son of mine that left me, kinda like the prodigal son you'll read about, you know, that my son that left, what kind of dad would I be if I'm like, don't care where he is? It means nothing to me. You know? And and instead, God is the father who is saying, look, the the only thing I don't like about what you're doing is the fact that you're apart from me, because sin separates us from God. That is that is the only thing that he can't stomach is when we're separating ourselves from him. Apart from that, we were created to be loved, and and we are very much done so. And so the crucifixion I mean, you didn't for someone who doesn't know the Bible,
the crucifixion may not make a whole lot of sense. Right? You know what I'm saying? If you take the Old Testament sacrifices out of it and the system and the character of God, maybe the crucifixion doesn't make any sense to somebody who hasn't doesn't understand that. Right? Because it does sound like it's a self fulfilling guidepost.
You know? Like, I've set up an inane system with no historical background, and I'm gonna kill my son just to prove how great I am. Right? Like, without the historical backdrop of, like, sin is paid for with blood, then Jesus the sacrifice doesn't make any sense. Right? But, like, through a a a swath of world whole encompassing bible worldview,
Jesus says the perfect sacrifice makes perfect sense for the atonement of our sins, and and he's the only one that could have provided that. So Yeah. And and I think I think that what you said is is important because a lot of times when people are questioning what God has chosen to do, they're ignoring the fact that that, like, God knows exactly how we react to things. He knows
example, the crucifixion take away the, like, the sacrificial system, right, from the Old Testament. And and I would agree that the crucifixion makes absolutely no sense. So, like, some of that was necessary for us to be able to see god's heart even in the things that happen. You You know what I'm saying? Like, the the same thing comes up when when we want something to happen to our lives, and we pray and we pray and and and we feel like god's hand isn't moving. Right? And and and we we feel like we wanted to see god move, and it's not happening like we want. And here's here's the thing that I would I would beg you to keep an eye out for is, right, god when god intervenes in your life, he wants the credit, and he wants the credit because he wants you to know that he loves you and that he's making that movement for you. And the thing is is if he if you you say, hey. I want this, and then he gives it to you, and you could've chalked it up to circumstance or coincidence or whatever. That's a fail. That's a fail because god wants you to see his heart and his hand in that movement in your life. And so a lot of times when we when we think god's not responding, it's not because he's his heart's not there. It's not because he didn't hear it. It could be a no, and it could be a no because he's waiting to say yes when you will see that it's him. Yeah. Right? He's he wants to be glorified, and he wants you to see that he loves you. And then when his hand moves, he wants those two things. And and if those can't be done in that circumstance where he thinks you're gonna miss it, you know, it's it's not to there's no reason to step in and do it because the thing that you're praying about or wanting isn't as important as those two things. Well, that's true. And and actually, see, then I've said that before to people. I've had a conversation with folks about,
God's timing, and and and they they kinda took offense because I said, here's the deal. God gets the glory. You know, like, I reap the benefits of having a relationship with Jesus, but God gets the glory. And they're like, what a pompastic, arrogant God. Right? And and I'm like, you know, here's the thing that you're missing is God gets the glory because, a, he deserves it. And, b, if you don't have a right a rightful perception of God, then you don't know God. Right? God gets the glory because he's God. And if you, for for one reason, think that there's any part of this world that comes, that is good, that is not rooted in God, then you don't have the right perception of God. And then you're you're facing trouble. You're walking a very dangerous line of putting God down to your level, which is not the case. You and God are not equals.
You and God are not even close to being equals. Right. You know? And so a lot of people, their favorite thing to do is, is it's a wonderful lifestyle. Put a lasso around God and bring him down and try to get him in your world, and that's not the deal. You you meet God where God's at. God has a a a plethora of things for you, and he he has a love for you that you've never experienced. And and and people always try to drag him down like, God, but you can't you see how my job's going? You can't just leave me in this job. You know? And and and and god's he he has such a better perception for you to have. And as soon as you try to drag god down into your office politics, your petty argument with your neighbor, or whatever dumb thing you've got yourself involved with. Now you've took taken God down to your level. And you know what? Somebody at your level can't die to save you. Somebody down on your level is not good enough for a sacrifice for your sin. And so you can't have God both ways. You can't have God down in the trenches with you, and you can't have God up in heaven being almighty ruler and expect it to be the same God. And you see that a lot. People have a have an an errant perception of God, and and it's usually comes stems from pride. Like, who does God think he is? I prayed a lot to get God to do this.
That doesn't matter. Absolutely. One point that, that jumped out to me about the whole thing is so the author of the proof is talking about the fact that, you know, god created everything. He he did this whole thing the way he wanted to be done. We are created in his image. You know, god gave us the the the will to do these sins, gave us the, the human nature that eventually pushed us to these sins and all this different stuff, saying about everything is he's relating it all back to everything that we do. All of our sin is God's fault. And then relating it to the only way that God can make himself happy is to
send himself, Jesus, as man to come and die for us to finally make himself happy. You know, I I don't mean to interrupt you, Troy, but you know what I found funny is that this guy, avowed atheist, God is not real. Right? Comes out of the comes out from the Bible that says Jesus has proven himself to be God right from the Bible. There's offshoots of Christianity that are missing this completely. Right. Absolutely. You know I'm saying? Like, atheist man picks it up. Yeah. He does. How are the people reading the Bible and going, I don't don't know if we can get this done or not. We have people who are trying to chase the heart of god. They follow the bible and they ignore that part. Atheist man reads it one time and goes, yep. That seems to be like Jesus is god. Jesus
proves himself to be yeah. Exactly. Seriously. That part. I don't get it. It all goes back to him, you know, God trying to make himself happy and appease his anger and his wrath towards all this sin. And he's missing the point of the the wiping away of the sin isn't
the part that is appeasing God. It's the relationship that we get to have with him through our sin being erased. We can't have a relationship with God like we can if Jesus weren't to died. He was the lamb, the the perfect lamb to die for all of our sin so that that could be wiped away, so that we didn't have that separation from God. And the fact that we were able to have that one on one relationship, that intimacy with God through that, that's the part that I think makes God happy. Well, right. And that's that's I think that comes right back to what we were talking about is dragging God down to your level. Right? You cannot be in relation with him with sin in your life. Right? That that's the gap. And you don't have you can't get rid of sin. Right? So Jesus, you know, provided that that bridge between,
the father and you that you couldn't reach otherwise. And so if you think you can can continue to have sin in your life, no relation relationship with Jesus, and no god, you're mistaken. God does not live down here. You can't know god with with sin. You can't. It it's it's completely blocking yourself through it. Double j. Yes. Your thoughts, buddy? Oh, this is this is a yeah. This is a big thing. It's a big one. I'm just trying to process it all right now. Hold on. Feel like you've had six, seven minutes now. Well, Me and Troy are king of the babblers, and you couldn't come up with nothing? I've been listening to you guys. I'm just trying to Here's the problem. If I dump it to Ben, Ben's gonna end it. He always does. Ben, he always comes up with the ender. And then walk right back to end it. Don't send it my way, literally, for it to be done. Cast Lester?
Well, I just think that I think it's easy to take any part of the facts and and make it look silly. He's good there. No. Without without using all of it, all in context, it's easy to take pieces of anything and and say, well, what about this? What about this? Without taking everything to consideration. Like a puzzle that's, for kittens and you can make it look like Betty White. Right. You know, that's a mistake. You don't have to agree to that, Casey. Thanks for that, Mike. I know you feel like a guest. You feel like you have to agree to that, but you don't ask. You really don't. That was winning commentary, Mike. Was nodding. See how it was nodding? Everyone goes, oh, yeah. He must be right. Continue on. Right. Right. I think I think the really hilarious thing, like, you were talking about is just that that you've got this atheist
that is believing what the Bible's saying that Jesus is god. He's reading through the Bible and he's like, yeah. Jesus is god. Yeah. He's just claiming to be god at the least. Right. Yeah, exactly and then and then he completely ignores the rest of the Bible and he's like, well, that none of that's right. Right. None of that is true but this part, this part could be true. I love John four. Yeah. Yeah. That that's all that's you know, that's all I'm going to do. I mean, and and I think it's it's really crazy because you know, if you are actually going to look and back through even the Old Testament,
you know, it's talking the whole time. It's talking about Jesus. The whole time that god is revealing the laws and everything, he's he's talking about the perfect lamb. He's setting it up so that we can understand that we
that we there's nothing that we can do to earn his, you know, to earn his grace. There's nothing we can do. And so he set that up so that so that when the perfect time did come, that Jesus could be that perfect sacrifice. And so, yeah, and I I'd agree so we could get it. And I think I think what Cass is saying, I think, makes a lot of sense to the extent that,
if you if if god has provided, his counsel, right, his word, the full extent of it, it's all there for a reason. Right? And so you're right. If you start picking little bits of it, you can decide that that this thing is gonna be the thing that's ridiculous or outrageous, and you take it out of contention, you peel it away. And and the thing is if you have a holy righteous creator of the universe and he gives you the full council, you better darn well be taking it all in and try to get it in perspective. Yeah. And and even, I there's a there's a wide majority of of people that that claim to love Jesus that that do that very thing. Like, we wanna pick and choose and say, well, god was right on this one. But since he disagrees with me here, perhaps maybe he's he's just a little off the rocker. Right? But, I mean, it is a full counsel. It's it's one of the things that that I've been coming more and more burdened with is is being comfortable with my old testament. Right? I
my my salvation, my understanding of how I've been saved through the work of Christ on the cross comes through that New Testament, and I can get it in concept. Right? But that full counsel of the Lord for how my life rolls and really understanding what that means to me and humanity as a whole, that's a that's an Old Testament deal. And, like, I can't just be like, man, all this begotten and all this, you know, all these laws and stuff that don't apply to me and just start skimming over them. Right? I've got a burden for the Old Testament and really seeing it. And and the more that you get that, the more you go back and you read, you read some of the letters from Paul and you read Hebrews and you read stuff from James, and you're like and and it just it just jumps out at you Yeah. How clear that stuff is, because you you got the context, you got the full council. And so, you know That's where they got their council. Right? When they refer to the scriptures, that's what they're talking about. Yeah. Exactly. They're not referring to their own book at the moment. Jesus is teaching scriptures are just Jesus
is teaching in the synagogues. He's not talking about teaching revelation. That hasn't happened yet. Dave will write He's talking about Deuteronomy. Well, if you see in the future, Christianity is Exactly. So alright. Well, I'm gonna give that one, and I could be. I don't wanna be the guy that makes decisions here, but I'm giving that one to god. I'm on. Yeah. Yeah. I'd say that's god. K. 33 and So
well, yeah. So, yeah, 32 and o. Next week, we'll we'll go back and we'll hit proof 32, which we skipped this week is talk to a theologian, and I'll give you the opening salvo. Have you ever noticed that when you read the Bible, it often makes no sense? Well, there you go. That's the opening salvo. Except for John four. Except for that whole Jesus is God thing. That's for sure. That's that's pretty darn solid. Solid. So and and I I so maybe maybe we ought to step back for a broad perspective here. If if you look where this guy's coming from. Right?
To accept something like the crucifixion, you have to accept that that it was necessary, that it was appropriate, and that you that you had to have it. Right? And so so I think we're talking about pride. We did talk about being pompous. Right? Like, god can't be pompous because pompacity comes from someone who's improperly evaluated himself as higher than everyone else. God cannot be pompous because it is just true. He's accurately describing
accurately above everyone else. Right? And so, you know, so if you this thing as a barrier, this isn't a a a barrier of logic. It's not a barrier of mythology. It's not a barrier of of something that's intangible. It's simply a barrier of of saying that this if I accepted that I was a sinner and that there was no way and that I deserved a punishment and there was no way for me to be reconciled to god and that there was a god, this this completely makes sense. Right? Because once I accept once I accept something that is supernatural, I have no reason to reject a supernatural solution to reconcile something that I can't do on my own. Right? But when you start from a place and you say nothing is supernatural, if you've eliminated God, you've eliminated anything supernatural to reconcile you to a fake god. Right? So, I mean, it it comes from a place where the this this one is a little bit less tangible as far as, like, helping someone with a barrier. I don't think you can say, I love god, but I'm having trouble with this. Right. You know, this has to be like a full rejection to get here. Because, again, at the point that you say, I believe that there's a God, you you start to accept a lot of stuff that could be possible that you otherwise rejected, and you are limitless in what your life may look like in service to the king. Ew. Alright. So we'll we'll hit that. That's goddessmanager.com.
If you wanna read ahead, we're looking at number 32 next week, and we'll we'll see that theologian business, and we'll see how it shakes out. Do you know any theologians, man? Like, textbook theologians? I've mistrusted. A legitimate job? Yeah. Like job? Yeah. Like, can you be a theologian and not like a pastor? I'm just a paid theologian. People give me money. Yeah. You probably could. And I feel like That's what people write articles for that daily bread devotional we're talking about. They're paid salaried
theologians. Like they're know, here's the thing. I don't know how theologians is a is is a a an actual profession. Right? Because here's the deal. Like, a pastor of a church takes the lord's words and puts it in action. Right? A theologian just kinda regurgitates lord's word. I feel like the lord's word's already there. So, I mean, if I could get paid just to read stuff, you know, they they there's a guys like that pretend to produce a lot of scholarly stuff, the things that your pastors rely on to make sure that the interpretation is consistent and stuff. They they a lot of authors, a lot of theologians. There's great there's a of sciences that are completely theoretical that they don't do anything to action, but they're completely thinkers, but they get paid. Where you don't have to do anything. I don't ever see them in the classifieds. They're thinkers. I would enjoy that job. They're always like, hey. Get up early. Do stuff. You gotta get Like doctorate thinkers. Minimal pay. And I think, wait. Somebody has to be doing nothing for big pay. I know Jesus. Why don't I have this job? Somebody's writing Come down to my level, Lord. And give me this. Somebody's writing textbooks. So that's obviously, like well, they're not actually, like, typing them out, but that's thinker work. That's that's the kind of people dictate a textbook? Probably. Sit down, Martha. Chapter one. Take chapter one. Take a letter. Biology of sciences.
Let me explain molecular biology to that'd be parentheses a m line above hyphen hyphen two e's. Let me explain DNA while you type it out. Alright. Well, I tell you what. Let's let's get to know Cass Lester. Hi, Cass. 'Sup? Let's it's good to see you. So tell me a little bit how you got involved on this Limitless tour. Oh, I I know Daniel from when I was younger. Obviously,
you know, I know his message, and I I know that we share, you know, common message for people. I met him.
We grew up together. He he we went off to high school or to a different high school when we were when we were young. But Was he imprisoned? Or was he just Was he kept away from the other kids for a reason? I I just moved, guys. Sure. So, yeah, he he I'll scratch people in prison. He contacted me about a show
just just to kinda just to kinda find someone, and I think he was impressed with kinda with with what I did, and I was impressed with what he did. And so we thought it'd be good to collaborate on this tour, and it was been good. Pretty much. So I'm glad I'm glad he brought me along. Is it just what you guys just taking one vehicle? Yeah. Yeah. That's a funny story, actually. We basically fit I have a 2004
Grand Am. It's just a four door. We have fit my entire merch table, my banner rig, which is Aluminum and all, Yeah. It's it's six feet it's it's six feet wide by by 10 feet tall. So we got that. We have all my merch, all of our bags, our laptops, his entire drum set, and three people, and his guitar in my car. That's astonishing. Yeah. That's that's sounds You said a grand am? Tight fit. Yeah. It's tight it's a pretty tight squeeze. Right. I can't fit in a grand am myself.
I love you. So that's That's fantastic. That's pretty awesome, to be honest. You, sir, just made my night. Is that a fat joke? If
it's against myself and I'm losing weight, I think it's completely okay. It's totally different with the jokes. Like, you I can make a joke about me, but if someone else is like makes a joke about me about the same thing, it's like, that's different. Yeah. If one of you guys would say that about me, we might be having some words. But I think it's okay. A jaguar would be eating today. I'm just I'm I'm gonna resist on three different things I was just about to say that violate the principle of what you're talking about. Yeah. Carry on. Yeah. I didn't really get so I should buy myself in here all of a sudden. Know? Oh, man. If somebody has an elbow like a badger, I just duck it. It's got real. It's got a little too real. Well, I tell you what, Cas. Let's so let's let's hear from you. Tell me a little about Smoke Screen. What it is, it's a song I wrote. I came out of frustration. I felt like I was told things were a certain way,
and and there's a time where, you know, I thought I could I could I could handle things, and I was surprised to find that I couldn't. And this is kinda this song is sort of the frustration that I felt. I feel like my what my music is a message is is what I go through, in my walk. Mhmm.
And sometimes, the the lyrics that I write, I write because I feel like I can't go to God with them sometimes. Know? So so I so I write them,
and it's sort of this healing way and to get that off my chest. And so this song is getting getting that those feelings off my chest saying saying, you know, why is it this way? I wasn't ready for it to be this way. So that's this song. Cool. Well, I'm ready for it. If you wanna grab a guitar, let's do
let's do smoke screen. By the way, you can find both j j and Cass Lester on on a Facebook. If you do a quick search, you can you can hunt them out and Are you guys on the Twitter? And they're on the Twitter. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. Yeah. That's lesser music. That's what it is. I like how you eventually agree with me. I like how you don't do it right off the bat. Just Yeah. Give it a buffer like, ah, yeah. Alright. This is Cass Lester doing Smoke Tree, and you're listening to Live From The Path. Zil me on what you've found to be a rule.
And watch me fade away. And just watch me fall away. Follow me into Zeppelin
where I've lost it all And follow me into the deep end where I've lost it all again. That was Cass Lister. That was awesome. That was awesome.
So, Cass, is that on a is that on an album somewhere? As of now, no. It's not. Plan on right now, I'm I'm recording myself Yeah. Which is which is a challenge sometimes. But
recently, I before this tour leading up to it, I I kinda lost my voice, which kinda pushed it back. So I I have a few recorded songs up on my on my Facebook page, but that isn't one of them yet. So Sure. Sure. Now if let let's say they wanted to check out this show live where they could see the double j castles to show, Littlest Tour. Where can they find this thing? Yeah. What do you got coming up, fellas? Well, tomorrow night hello.
Alright. Tomorrow night will be in in Ottumwa Ottumwa, Iowa at the the Bridges Group. The Bridges Group. Wednesday will be at the what do I with the Bridges? The Bridges two? The sounds like an old ladies club. First Penn? First Penn. Alright. Yeah. And then Wednesday, we're at the Open Bible in Ankeny,
the youth group over there. Dude, I'm totally gonna lay an open Bible in the middle a field somewhere and see if you show up. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Is that is that open to everybody, or is that an exclusive event at the open bible? I would assume it's open to everybody. I mean, I haven't heard any different. But How do you throw somebody of that? Are you an open bible? I'm going Yeah. I guess. There's nothing you can do to stop you. I'm going. They were there Wednesday. Thursday, we're in we're in Albia at youth group down there. Friday, we're in Sheffield,
and then then we're done. And that Friday's home. Yep. Friday, we're all heading back to our daily grinds. So you're you're you're limited again. Better be limited one more time. One more time. Yeah. Right. Right. Right. Pretty much. Yeah. Bummer. Okay. That sounds pretty cool. So if you're in any of those areas, you won't get the KTIA broadcast, but you should certainly go to those shows. I think should be a time. I would like I said, I I went to the show Thursday at the Muse, and it was great. It was great. I really did enjoy it. Although see, and here's the deal. I'm not much of a live music guy where I get up and kinda jazz around, and and people kept trying to get me to jazz around. They're like, come on up to the stage. Jazz around. I was a little upset that you didn't. And
and I don't like being feel like the curmudgeon, but, like, I just I don't do that. I don't jazz like that. I don't do it. I like to sit kinda eerily in Matrinsko. And here's the deal. I said hi to three people that I that we've had on the show, and they did not respond back to me. And no. And I found out later because they didn't recognize me because I was wearing a stocking hat. It's true. This hat the hat kinda changed. It's awesome. I blend in. I just look like a creeper. Yeah. At the bar. Like, I was sitting by Creeper. I was sitting by myself in a long coat and a big gray stocking hat, and I was Why'd you wear a long coat? Yeah. That's terrifying. That's kinda scary. It keeps me warm on cold nights, fellas. Man, you cuddle the money. You do what you wanna do. I wear a coat. Naturally warm. That's ridiculous. Ben, I won't lie to you. When you first came in, I'm like, who's that guy? Think I was Oh, it's Ben. Alright. So Who's that old man? Who is he? He looks like an open Bible. Here's here's here's where I knew I was in trouble is the guy at the bar who I don't think is of the persuasion to enjoy the music that was going on that night looked at me as if we were kindred spirits.
So however I dressed myself or or or, you know, conducted myself at the bar made him think he could make he made a couple of what are, you know, 11PM type references to me. Things that you only say at 11PM when people have been drinking, but he said it to me at, like, 08:30, I thought, I've got to dress differently. Yeah. I guess. Like, something I've done to conduct myself. We all think you've gotta dress differently. It's not just you. It's every one of us. Ironically enough, that same dude Mhmm. Came up to me after the show and said it was awesome. Awesome. Yeah. So Okay. Same guy. I was like, that was a really good show up there. I'm like, thanks. Alright. Go. Mister 11 at 08:30 changed. I I really I really way to do it. I didn't think that would happen because we were, like, pulling off, like, a duo worship set at the end. And then they were like, that was awesome. I'm like, alright. Cool. I'll take it. He was 70% denim. Something to think about. That seems like it's 20% too much. Alright. I tell you what. Let's we better get to well, shoot.
I tell you what. I'm gonna tell my I'll talk about my in the news, I'm gonna keep it quick. Mike and I were gonna do the post office. Oh, yeah. Know. You should go first, definitely. That's an that's out of sorts. So here's the I'm a try to keep this I'm a try to keep this short, but Yeah. It means fifteen minutes. No. No. No. Listen here. I'm I'm balding. I can't keep the camera on me very long. So here's here's the thing with the news. There's been a bunch of stuff going on. The Louis Giglio thing went on. He was he had been selected to do the inauguration prayer or benediction or whatever, and then they took him out because they of a
sermon he did about homosexuality about fifteen years ago. There's been some Lance Armstrong stuff in the news. Like, there's just a lot of big stuff for the news. And the thing that's that that's been that's been hitting me this week is, like, we spent a lot of time talking about a lot of crap that does not matter. It simply does not matter. And it let he I'll I'll see if I can hit both of these things relatively quick. So the Louis Giglio thing. Right? We got when is the point where you're gonna stop being surprised that people are not choosing the god thing? Like, at what point are we gonna stop, like, being flabbergasted? When you look around the world that we live in, the fallen world that we live in, and the choices that people make, and rejection of God, and the rejection of Jesus, at what point do you stop going, well, I can't believe that thing happened?
It's it's the same deal as where, like, I've been married. I'll be married eight years this year. Okay? And, like, at some point, my wife stopped going, I cannot believe you left your socks on the floor next to the bed. Now they're still there. I still need to change it. It's bad behavior. But at some point, she needs to stop being incredulous about it. It's gone on for a long time. Okay? And so, like, the this thing where we get up in arms, we're I can't believe a nation which which obviously is pointing a direction that does not honor Christ has made a decision that does not honor Christ. Like, blowhard and stuff and spending a bunch of time talking about things that you simply should not be surprised about. And the same thing when I look at this Lance Armstrong thing, the thing has been taken up to the news I mean, gangbusters over the last few days when everyone's putting themselves on the throne to decide whether someone should be forgiven or not forgiven.
I mean, seriously, this guy's problems don't have anything to do with me except for I really hope that he's know knows Jesus. And I don't know that I have a way to influence that that at the moment, but I I if I did, I would certainly try to do it. But, like, beyond that, we we spend a lot of time, a lot of time talking about things that aren't important. And and the the thing that I was thinking about is, like, we even we do this politically. We do this with, like, other, like, nonprofit organizations. We do it with people groups. And here's the thing I want I want you to think about. Like, if you don't walk away with anything else, it's organizations do not spend an eternity separated from God. Individual people do. Political parties don't spend an eternity separated from God.
Individual people do. Identity groups, protest groups, like big cans of people that you're fighting against, that you're putting some kind of big protest with, that you're having an argument about, that having you're a moral disagreement about, that little pockets of people like that, those people, as a group, don't spend an eternity away from God. Individual people spend an eternity away from God. So if you're gonna spend your time arguing with folks, you're gonna spend your time, like, your time, like, putting effort into something, why don't we try to focus on individual relationships, people that you could influence working for Christ? Now I don't know where the limit is. Right? Like, there's a there's a thing that where you don't, you don't just lay down and and not stand up for truth when truth needs to be stand up for. I completely agree with that.
But I I just feel like there's a lot of time that we spend on on things that, like, we're gonna win an earthly battle and lose a forever war Yeah. For individual people. Right? Like, there's there's there's a big groups of, like, of organizations that I simply disagree with. I think their their philosophy is based on a lie. I think what I think is based on the truth. That's why I believe it. Right? And I spend my time fighting with that group of people and win and then what? They still spend an attorney separated from God. I just bullied them. I spent more time in the media. I spent more time talking. Great. I won. I I would say I changed the law. That one law that I really want changed that I think will they'll keep doing it. They're gonna keep following the path they were on. That law didn't really do anything. Think of people don't, like, stop their criminals don't stop because you made a law. People that believe something is morally right don't change their behavior simply because I think what they're doing is morally wrong even if I can get a majority of people to agree with it.
I'm not I'd I I really don't know the answer to this to where I say what's worth it and what's not, where you put your energy, where you don't. But I can tell you this is that those organizations, the people on the other side of the laws that people fight for, people on the other side of political parties and political issues that you fight for, that group, they do not go to heaven or not go to heaven, serve God, not serve God as a group, as an individual item. So if you wanna spend your time doing something, shake a hand, get a name, find someone that you can engage with, and start trying to influence people on a personal level. And, like, these big battles, I I'm sure they're worth fighting. I just don't know what to what extent. Well, I I mean, I agree hands down to that. I actually, I was I was a bit uplifted. Be Ben and I, were at the, Ben called and said, hey. Look. We've been invited to broadcast from, a right to life, rally this Saturday. And I went, oh, man. I don't I don't know. I'm not a big I don't like I don't like protests or gatherings or getting together as a group and doing stuff, you know, big bullying people around like
and here's the deal. I went we went anyway, and, I met some very cool people. And every person that got up on that stage talked from the heart of Christ. Right? I didn't see that. I didn't see that coming. Now I assume most of the people in this organization have some type of Jesus background. Usually, the heart for life comes from a heart for Christ. But, like, that is what happened. And and and it was it was a bit uplifting because I was gonna totally bow out of the whole thing. I don't want anything to do with it. I'm like, protesting, getting agitated. Not for me. And I I was I was blown away that it was the opposite. Did you feel the same? I did. I did. And and, I mean, that's what I say. I don't wanna categorize all people that, like, get together as a group as being the wrong thing. That's not what I'm getting at. But, I I do feel like we've got room to to spend our time just a little bit more productively when it comes to forever thinking instead of momentary thinking. Alright. If you listen on 99.3 KTIA, we're gonna have to let you go, man. Yeah. You gotta We only got a certain amount of time. So we're gonna cut you over. You guys get a you can punch other. Can I be involved in this too? No. Not with what you just tried to pull a couple seconds ago. Absolutely not. I'm sorry. I don't think we should be his favorite people of all time. Hold on. Do you juggle a unicycle? Could I learn in a couple months? I can I would give him my best shot? Can you juggle a unicycle? That would be pretty awesome if you could. I can lift a car.
I can lift a candy bar. I alright. I'm a go back to I can lift a car. Okay. I think I'm in. Alright. Okay. Troy's back in. Sweet. Alright. Alright. Mike, so what what's your Pope style advice? So here's the deal. Here's the situation I ran into. I ended up having to go out of town for work this week. It happens to be on occasion. I hate it. I'm I'm not a big fan of it, but I I do it. It's my job. I love my kids. I love my family. I gotta provide cash for them. Right? And, actually, I ended up I ended up having to stay at this hotel when I was out of town, and and, I went outside for a second just to kinda clear my head. I got my work done, and it was about ready for bedtime.
And for some reason, I thought I just miss my home. I miss my wife. I miss my kids. I don't wanna be here. You know? Sometimes you get responsibilities that get dropped on your lap as as the man of the house. You just gotta you know, you gotta work. You gotta do these things. You know? I I don't enjoy it, but I did it. And I thought for a second, you know, like, this could easily put me into
a very sinful mindset. You know what I'm saying? Like, the situation that I'm in right now, I don't wanna be here. I I I I don't want anything to do with go what's going on here. I just wanna be home. I know I can't go home. So then you feel stuck. Right? And and and this is what happens when you tend to, when you get pushed in a corner, you'll do anything to make yourself feel better. Anything. Even if it's a temporary feel better. Right? And and the the same comes with, you know, people people do the same thing with, prescription medication. You know I'm saying? Like, doesn't matter what it is right now. I will take anything right now to feel better. And they get sucked in. Right? And so, like, I got in this situation, and I was thinking, I just I don't wanna be here. I don't wanna feel this way. I just hate this. And then it it occurred to me that I love Jesus.
And for for a second, I did I don't know why it hit me like a ton of bricks like it did, but I thought, what did I ever do before I knew you? What did I do? What did I do before I knew who you were, before we had a relationship? I have no idea. I'm sure it was terrible. Like, I honestly and and for I'd like it it had never occurred to me the mass change that my relationship with Christ had brought about. The mass change in who I used to be and who I am now. Like, I've always loved my wife. I've always loved my kids. I've not done well.
I've not been the husband that I should have been. I've not been the father that I could have been. I've I've failed at these things, but, I've always loved my my wife and my kids. But at this point at this point, I thought, I wanna be home. I can't be home. What am I to do? I'm on my own. My all my family's at home. And I thought, but I know you, and you love me, and I love you, and I I'm not by myself. And, like, something that you try to explain to your kids and people who are new to the faith, and I didn't even realize it. Like, it never had occurred to me that
I have I I have a life that I used to live that I don't live anymore. I had a thought pattern that I used to have that I don't think anymore, and I had a sense of, you know, loneliness and self sufficiency that I don't even need. I don't need self sufficiency. I have Christ sufficiency, which frankly covers a heck of a lot more ground. You know? And I don't know. It was it was it was odd to be comforted when I'm used to being pissed. I'm used to being mad. I'm used to being angry, and I'm used to being wanting out of this situation and doing almost anything I could to get out of it. And instead, I was filled and sufficient,
and it was odd. And so I guess my pope style advice for this week is you haven't taken the time to realize what Christ has brought you from. And if you don't know Christ,
what he can bring you from, whatever you're stuck in, whatever you're bogged down with, whatever you don't like, it's not what God intended for you. God didn't intend you to trudge through life with with thick boots and and and six pairs of undies on your head and and and 10 trench coats and creeping people out. That's not what he's after. Now you've misrepresented me. I did not have six pairs of undies on my head. I've been looking confused at that one as And I don't own boots. And hanging out at the bartender and people calling you baldy. But here's the deal. Like, here's the truth of it. It's it's funny that it comes in such an awesome life lesson of just that one time when you realize god is exactly who he said he is. His sacrifice is exactly what he said it was gonna be, and every promise he makes in his bible is exactly, the truth. And it's it'll hit you it it just it hit me like a ton of bricks, and it'll do the same for you. It I mean, it honestly will. If if you look at the difference between setting your obedience on,
the values that Christ has set up set out for you instead of trying to trudge your own path all the time, you you won't be so worn out, and you'll just feel a sufficiency that you can't provide. So that's my pope style advice. Nice. God god is who he says he is, and just obey. Do what you're supposed to. Well said. Is that enough for you to leave the lawn, BUVA? I would leave the lawn. I'm leaving the lawn already. No. I might stick around for more giving that advice. It was pretty good. I'll be back next week. Yeah. I'll be back tomorrow. Some guy with undies on his head is very upset about what you said. Yeah. Everybody makes fun of me. What? No. No. I'm saying I look good with these undies on my head. I don't know why I'm sad about it. Choice. Okay?
Just trying to start a trend. I'm a jaguar. Tell who I am. It's who I'm gonna be. They're I was born this way. Live from the path. Here's the problem. Ben, people need advice. No. No. I I hear you. I hear you. People have undies on their heads. Some people have bigger problems. We're here we're here to help. I mean get bigger problems than the undies on their head. Know what? It's pretty big. They could turn to the Internet. You could Google your problems, but that's just asking for trouble. I think they should just ask life from the gonna do is find more people with the same problems. No. That's true. That's true. You're not gonna solve your problems. You're just gonna find a support group. Yeah. People who do the same thing you do and are and are trying to look for buddies that do it as well. A pool of self
happens in there? People drown. Yeah. Yeah. That's what happens. Hold on. It's kind of a depressing I'm gonna see if undyhat.com shows up. Go ahead. Alright. Idle. Dear life from the path. My daughter was recently married. My niece, a talented artist, hand painted flowers on wine glasses for the dinner reception following the ceremony. They were intended to be keepsakes for each of the adult guests. The glasses turned out beautifully and made each place setting extra special. I knew they'd be treasured by our family for years to come. At the end of the evening, I gathered four glasses from our family's table then glanced at the bridal table of eight as some guests approached to offer thanks for a fabulous evening. When I turned around, the four glasses were gone. Not only had glasses disappeared from our table, but also from the head table and from my nieces, the artist. Those of us who had worked hardest on the wedding were left with nothing, and that includes the bride and groom. The following day, someone mentioned to me that they had seen certain guests leave with four to six glasses each. One woman even had her child, who was loaded down with glasses, make several trips to her car.
We figured out who the culprits were, some out of towners who stayed at the home of one of the groom's relatives. Okay. Most people are probably out of town. That's not fair. Hey. Hold on a minute. Hey. Sorry. I'm sorry. Go ahead. Zip it. I heard that the glassware covered the entire top of their dining room table. My question, should we ask these people to return the glasses? Thanks for your input. Yes. Yes. I'm sure it's out. Yes. What kind of advice is that? It's like Four to six glasses a piece? That's ridiculous. No. They just stole our glasses. I don't know if we should ask for them back or not, but Like Maybe they don't have any cups at home. Is it better Go to the DAV. Is it better to be wronged? Oh, so you should have secondhand cups while you get the best cups. Well, everyone was supposed to get the best cup. Everybody was supposed to get one. But you already have cups at home. They don't have any. It's a keepsake. You are assuming quite a bit. Yeah. That's that's a You are assuming quite a bit. Why do you assume they have cups? Well, Why are you assuming that they don't have cups? Because they stole all the cups. Maybe they're just really rude. Guy do when he's hungry? He eats food. What's a guy do when he has no cups? He gets cups. He gets 40 likes cups of haters. That they're supposed to be hungry. Ridiculous, and you're assuming quite too much. First Corinthians six seven, why not suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded? Oh, man. I'm sorry. Talk amongst yourselves. Whatever.
You know what? Whatever. That's your response to the Whatever. Lord's Troy does what I Troy can pick up a car. I'm gonna take my cubs, Hawksman. Yeah. That's what I was doing. No. Okay. So
if you wanna go it from from that standpoint If you wanna use the lord's word. Okay. If you wanna use god's word, it's a little bit different. Can you really even put that at this, though? I'm sorry. Maybe I'm just maybe I'm just not seeing that correlation. Putting that first Corinthians verse two. Turn the other cheek, send them the glasses if didn't keep.
Times seven. Well, then fine. Then all of our answers should be no. Don't say a thing about the glasses. I don't have the glasses. I would most say would most definitely say something about Yeah. Wow. I have to yeah. I would too. I think you're missing the That's that's that's what I'm saying. After you bring up the scripture and, like, to prove it wrong, you're like, you know what? Probably say something. Whatever days I knew was gonna circle right back on that. Pair of yellow bellied scripture Nazis I ever met in life. Yeah. I don't think so. Well, I guess you're probably right. No. You you cheated me. I've got an answer to break up the fight. Go ahead. How about you talk to him about it, and you say, hey. Do you need some glasses?
And they say, no. I've got plenty. Thank you. Actually we actually just Shay. Shay. Solid. Our family actually just picked up eight to 12 glasses recently. You're right. You straight that right up. Thanks. They
were very artistically done. It looks it looks They're like beautiful glasses. Oh my We actually just got eight to 12 hand painted glasses, and and we're pretty excited about it. So I can't disclose where we got them from. So here's here's here's where you here's where this ends. So this niece is obviously still alive, still perfectly able to paint the glasses.
Get some more glasses. That's terrible. I agree. That's a pretty big one eighty from what you were just saying, though. Yeah. Like, I would say I'll go over there. I can jack wide, take them all away. I never said that. I from there to, like, you know what? You could just make some new glasses. Okay. I'm not saying I'm gonna go and bust in this person's house screaming for my glasses. I from my own I just I have that picture, man. Like, there's, like, girls that kick open the door. Like, give back my glasses. I can how old's the niece? Do we know? Maybe she's a four year old that's really upset about her wearing these glasses. Then I would tell her to go and bust through the door. I have not been in the situation where I've ever needed to worry about someone stealing the glasses from my or a family member of my like both of you guys are having a hard time breaking this down for what it is. The the no one has offered any solid advice. Troy, you you're like a you're like a Fine. A bowl of Jell O that goes around in a shape of something. Okay. Here here's what I would honestly do. I would ask for my glasses back. Okay. I would at least be like, why did you be like, hey. Listen. Know you have, like, all of my glasses because no one else got one. Yeah. We saw you take you we saw your kid taking multiple trips. Why did you take my glasses? Like, I mean, I just need I just need a decent ex like, if you have a good reason Now hold on a bit. So what would satisfy? What what what reason could they give you that you're less scared than five? If I was like, hey, you we know. You I mean, you have I can see your couch is covered in my glasses right now. What is a give me a legitimate reason why reason, though? But I don't know if they're like What would you accept? I I I don't know. I'd like, if we don't have any money, we didn't have any glasses or, Making that Something chocolate. Chocolate pudding with Oreos and Okay. If if they were like, we're making chocolate pudding with Oreos, I we had to make extra glasses. I'd like, okay. Well, then I I want them back now. It's I mean, it's it's a weird thing because oh, they've okay. Now here's the thing. Here's the thing. They've done the wrong thing. Alright? They've stolen glasses. Right. You need to ask for your glasses back. The only time where that scripture applies is we talk about be getting lawsuits with your brother. Right. And in which case, you really should use the church to arbitrate. That's what the that's what Paul says. But but at the time you get into a, some kind of legal lawsuit where the body of Christ is being exposed to to worldly legal affairs, then you drop it and you let it go. You would say you've been defrauded. But there's no reason you do not attempt to reconcile Yeah. A morally wrong and incorrect problem where someone has thefted your glasses. Yeah. You were the one who brought up the scripture. I know I was. You're the one who detailed to it. It's true. You just because I brought it up. Didn't hold on minute. You Romney, you flipped it. Now here's the deal. I bring that up because you need to know how to use it. Right? Like, the scripture the scripture exists. Does it not? Absolutely. I would It could or could not apply to the situation. A dangerous use of God's word is just to plug it in on what you think it is. In this situation, I did not know how it was used, and now I do. Alright. Well, that would be Your responses were whatever and okay. Keep them. I'll make I'll make more. I'll make some more glasses.
I said I those were completely hypothetical situations. Know. Was going hypothetical. Said it came down to I would ask for the glasses back. That was my answer. Yeah. And then we all we all jumped on him, and then he's like, alright. Fine. No. I when I I gave my final answers, I would ask for the glasses back. Now if you have to say things like final answer, it identifies you as a flip flop. I I only produced one answer. Here's the answer. Man. Will you marry me? Will I will, but I won't. Well, maybe. Final answer. It's possible. Final answer. It's yes. But says, by all means, ask, but there's no guarantee they'll be returned. People who take more than their share usually fill an inflated sense of entitlement.
Although their manners are atrocious, please don't let this cause in law problems before the marriage has even begun. Perhaps out of sympathy, the artist will be generous enough to craft another pair of goblets for the bride of world. Did you just take back that answer and love it because secular decided I never took it back. It was just standing by someone else. Which made me happy. You you said I'll take support from anyone. Oh, man. Here we go. One or another are in agreement. Troy is right again.
Dear, lie from the past. One moment. Hold a minute. Hold a minute. I think that was a cop out answer, by the way, because it's not a sense of entitlement. No one says, I'm entitled to my glass plus five that I know belong to others. Right. You know I'm saying? Like, that's that's theft. An entitled person sits in the front when they don't deserve it. An entitled person, you know, if there's a a big gulp and a can of soda, it takes a big gulp because they said, this is definitely for me. An entitled person doesn't steal their glass and five others. Right. That's not entitled. That's theft. Agreed. Okay. Go. That's breaking the law. Dear life from the path. I'm in a one year relationship with a wonderful man who's divorced with two children. The kids and I get along great, or at least I thought we did. Oh. It turns out that they are making up lies about me and telling their mother. My boyfriend and his ex have a strained relationship and fight about everything. I love his children, but I don't know how to handle this. What do you think I'm doing wrong? Oh, man. That's pretty vague. They got That's not a very We don't That's a big boat. Schrodinger's cat. What? Nothing. Just go keep going. Which car? Jaguars. Alright. Cool. I
Okay. Okay. Boil it boil it down to something you can answer. Right? The lady is have thinks she has a great reputation with her boyfriend's kids. Yep. Her boyfriend's kids are apparently saying bad things to the mother. Okay. I'm with it. Her reputation is irrelevant. Her kids are lying. The guy's kids are lying. The guy needs to take care it. Yeah. His kids are telling lies. Pretty self explanatory.
I mean, does it I mean, the whether she whether she is good to them or bad to them, the the point is is that they're saying something to the mother that is not accurate. Yeah. It is something the father should be dealing with. It is not her problem. It's true. That boom. It's done. That's it. Nobody wants to rebut. No. There's no rebuttal. Book closed. Troy, come on. With that. Come on, brother. No. I I just dangled the line. Go over to the house. Disagree with everything. Yeah. No. No. I disagree entirely. I think no. I'm just kidding. Secular says, you're not doing anything wrong. Either the kids are trying to cause a breakup with the idea their parents will reunite. That's a stretch. Or they are telling their mother things that they that they think she wants to hear. That's possible. Alright. There's nothing you can do about that. Your boyfriend will have to clear the air with his former spouse. Boom. Bam. So the last one. Dear life of the path. I have a woman who was raised in the South by a very proper mother. She told me that a man should never give a woman intimate gifts
like lingerie. A friend and I have argued about whether this rule applies today. I still believe the practice is unacceptable even if you are engaged. She thinks it's okay. Please settle this so we can get on with our lives. Are you talking about married people too can't give intimate gifts? Because I don't really want other people giving my wife intimate gifts. Yeah. I don't want, like, and they well, this is not in a man. Right? So, like, I don't want my aunt or someone showing up to my house with some whatever intimate gift is available and go, here you go. Yeah. I feel like that's none of your business. You know what I'm saying? I feel like I'm the only one that gets to give my wife intimate gifts ever. That's that's that's sounds right. What are your thoughts, Buba? I would agree with that entirely. I think that that the intimate gift needs to stay where the intimacy is. Exactly. Okay. Why why is such a thing in place?
Be it to help promote intimacy? No. No. No. No. No. Why why do you think the proper southern lady doesn't expect to get intimate gifts from the from the man? Are they are they saying that the woman needs to buy it on her own? No. I feel like maybe they're concerned that it's improper prior to marriage because you're not supposed to be doing the Okay. I would agree with that. Right. I think that the intimate gift should only be given in a marriage. I mean, if we're talking about that, there's no reason for Well, don't care what you do with it. They're We're not doing the wrong thing. I don't get to see nothing. Then I what if I give you lingerie? You wear it? Don't wear it? I don't care. It's just a nice gift from me. What's the point of though? Well, yeah, what's It's an intimate gift. The point of giving intimate with yourself. It that's not the point of an intimate gift. Those things are comfortable. Have you ever worn a 90? No. I've never worn a 90. Comfort, man. Oh my gosh. Are you honestly asking me if I've ever no. I've never worn a 90. Are you lying to me? I'm not lying to you. K. Ben? Have I worn one? Yeah. I thought about it. I have it, though. I had an extra big shirt one time. It it had a Tasmanian devil on it. Mike asked me for a couple of shirts. This is Then cut then I cut the sleeves out of it.
And I did a green the giant dance. I I I don't see any business about this thing. Here's the thing. Here be careful be careful on this subject and other subjects where you're walking the line of religiosity.
You know what I'm saying? If there's not sin going on, don't don't act like there's sin going on. You know I'm saying? Just regular stuff. I think can give a gift of whatever. What if they're just comfy pants? What if sexy to you is a tight pair of jeans? That's that's what they sell nowadays. You know what I'm saying? They're my sexy pants. Is a girl always wearing a sexy pants? Not an intimate gift, though. I think they're kind of According to them, it is. According to who it is? The people. People. I'm
now I'm really confused. What do you mean? They're saying that I'm saying the line between what is what and what is not an intimate gift is in the eye of the of the beholder. Oh, okay. I would have to get that too. Alright. I understand. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Sexy pants. Sexy. Sexy pants. You gotta wear a sexy pants. I mean, I I would generally discourage the guy from from doing such a thing prior to marriage because he's simply putting himself in the in the straights. You know, it's like You're putting himself in a bad box. Yeah. I mean, there's no reason there's no reason to start tempting. You know, you don't yeah. There's just no reason to be doing that. Yeah. Past that, though, I I would agree. I I don't know why you would want anybody else buying your wife intimate gifts. Yeah. I would go man, husband, husband only. I agree. That'd awkward. What do you with the, what do think about the online shopping? What? For intimate gifts? Would you, yeah, would you, yeah.
What's wrong with it? I don't get it. Why is that in question? I don't know. Well, I, with the selection of it. Because there's ladies modeling the intimate gifts. Yeah, let me ask this. Is it is it is the husband a creeper if he's out? He's online shopping for intimate gifts? That's a good question. Because here's the deal. In the store, it's either on a fake later on a rack. But, like, on online, there's probably a lady with it on. Yeah. I think you gotta go in store. I feel in store is the way to go in store. Yeah. Yeah. I think we're all The other approach. You know what I'm saying? Like, it may be innocent. No big deal, but you can't you can't be accused of anything when you're at the store. Yeah. Okay. Solid move. Dudes, to the store only. No online shopping for you. Secular says, perhaps the two of you should agree to disagree on this one.
