Segments

  • Show open: the repentant double-minded man 0:12–1:36
A host (speaker-0) self-identifies on-air as 'Ben Foust, the repentant double minded man,' drawing on James, and says he is 'in the process of repentance.' The hosts discuss whether repentance is a single moment or a pattern of moments, and joke that he should repent of how he started the show.
  • Christmas event promo and the Thanksgiving-Hanukkah overlap 1:36–2:43
The hosts plug the Christmas from the Path live event in Ames on November 30 at 7:00 at Zeke's, joke about avoiding timely references since the show archives, and note 2013 is the first year since the 1800s that Hanukkah and Thanksgiving begin on the same day, not recurring for 77,000 years.
  • What heaven might be like: rebuilding the organ 2:44–9:22
A host shares a conversation with his wife about an old organ he wants to rebuild but likely never will, and wonders whether Jesus might let him rebuild it in heaven. The hosts discuss what heaven might be like: skepticism about literal streets of gold, an infant-born-into-the-world analogy for the transition, and the idea that God shares his attributes with image-bearers so personality, relationships, and good design likely persist.
  • Why Scripture says little about heaven 9:22–11:53
The hosts consider why God revealed so little about heaven, warning against turning heaven into an idol or merely a venue for being served ('escaping hell' while expecting service), and agree God's restraint in what he revealed must have been correct.
  • Show lineup and Christmas album promo 11:53–14:25
The hosts lay out the night's lineup: vetting a viral '28 rules for fathers of sons' list against Scripture, a random online Bible quiz, and Dear LFTP advice. They plug the Christmas from the Path album, available on Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, and streaming on Spotify, as a way to support the show and local artists.
  • Bible quiz round one: 'slaughter' 14:25–18:57
The hosts take an online 10-question Bible quiz on 'slaughter': the man who murdered 85 priests (Doeg), the woman who murdered her family (Athaliah), the brothers who slew Shechem's men (for Dinah), the man who killed 30 for garments (Samson), the child-burning king of Judah (Ahaz), Samson's weapon against 1,000 Philistines (jawbone of a donkey), the 185,000-man army (Assyrians), the judge against Midian (Gideon), Samuel's-time slaughter (Philistines), and the 50,070 of Beth Shemesh.
  • Slaughter quiz answers and 1 Samuel 6 debrief 18:58–22:21
The hosts grade the slaughter quiz (9 of 10; they miss the Beth Shemesh question) and read 1 Samuel 6:19 aloud about the men of Beth Shemesh looking into the ark. They riff on the two milk cows sent straight toward Beth Shemesh without turning right or left, joking the cows 'are the greater Israel.'
  • Bible quiz round two: 'unusual death' 22:22–31:46
The hosts take a 13-question 'unusual death' quiz: Jezebel thrown from a window, Peter crucified (upside down, per tradition, citing John 21), Saul's armor bearer, Sapphira, Eli's broken neck, Haman hanged on the gallows, Ezekiel's wife, Korah swallowed by the earth, Uriah carrying his own death letter, Ahab's random arrow, Asahel and the blunt end of a spear, the king of Moab's burnt-offering son, and Absalom's hair in the tree. A running bit confuses Absalom with Abimelech, ending with the deadpan claim that 'Absalom was renamed Abimelech after his murder.'
  • 28 rules for fathers of sons: rules 1-3 31:46–36:06
The hosts begin vetting a viral Facebook list, '28 rules for fathers of sons,' against Scripture. Rule 1: love his mother. Rule 2: let him drive (debated; one host dissents). Rule 3: teach him to be picky, especially about women and burgers, spins into a discussion of dating-for-marriage and the difficulty of pulling back invested commitment.
  • Rules 4-7 and the biblical manhood debate 36:06–42:41
Rules 4-7 (take him to the ballgame, love with bravery, talk about sex, teach him to be a man's man) spark a long debate about biblical manhood: the 'sturdy oak' stoic ideal vs. emotional honesty. The hosts land on responsibility and honesty as the real issue, with jokes about lifting weights, crying at football games, and a new advice format: 'Dear Dan, can I cry?'
  • Rules: share secrets, real discipline, manners, choosing battles 42:41–47:22
Continuing the list: share secrets with your son (genuinely listen rather than discipline with rhetorical questions), teach him manners, and teach him when to stand up and when to walk away. A host tells of his daughter dealing with a mean classmate and counseling that people who don't know Jesus can't be expected to act like they do, urging prayer instead of grudges.
  • Rules rapid-fire: baths, bellies, and the Saylorville memory 47:23–51:44
The hosts rapid-fire the remaining rules: let him dance in tighty whities, share music, let him win (with Monopoly and card-game stories, and a grandpa who hustled a six-year-old out of Boardwalk), father him, give him baths (one host describes bath time as a non-negotiable fatherhood staple), and rest heads on daddy's belly. They learn the list was written by 'Sarah somebody' and posted by Dan Pierce, and one host recalls his large father floating at Sailorville Lake as his children's personal boat.
  • Dear LFTP: should I dig up my father's body? 51:45–54:00
A Dear LFTP listener writes that his late father's will set aside money for him and his brothers, but after his stepmother died he learned the will was rewritten and his family cut out. He asks whether he should dig up his father's body and move it away from the woman who disregarded his wishes. The hosts answer: the motives sound vindictive, the satisfaction would last a day or two, and it isn't worth it; a co-host addressed on-air as 'John Buva' is asked for his take and agrees.

Live from the Pathway Studios And you're listening to live from the path. I am Ben Foust, the repentant double minded man. It's good to have you today. I

thought of that other way here, fellas. Are you doing? The repentant double minded man. Yeah. Yeah. That's me. From James. They he says don't be a double minded man. It's John and James combined. And then I have repent I'm trying to I'm in I'm in repentance of that. John the baptizer plus James equals Ben. I have not yet repented. I'm in the process of repentance.

You're listening live from the path. But you believe that, Mike? Mike, repentance is process, or is it just a moment where you go, hey. I repent. It's a lot of moments thrown together, Ben. That's true. I'm halfway You're looking for a pattern of repentance, not a definition of it. I'm halfway in those moments. I have not yet repented. You should repent of how you started the show. I'm gonna work on that. Anyway, you're listening live from the path. And, it's good to have you tonight. We got, we got stuff going on the show. Oh, man. In fact, lots of big stuff coming up. If if you're listening tonight,

you can still make the live from the path, or Christmas from the path event in Ames on November 30 at 07:00 at Zeke's. You can still make that stuff. If you're listening on KTIA, your list oh, shoot. You can't listen to KTIA. Uh-uh. Yeah. We're broadcasting the Christmas special. I've I've not thought through this, actually. It's conundrum. What am I gonna do with this recording? We might just put it in the archives. Oh, yeah. It's gonna be one of them specials. They can't you can't make any timely references to anything timely. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So no no Thanksgiving references.

Nothing about holidays. Uh-uh. No birthday celebrations. Okay. Nothing about the weather. Absent of time. Okay. You see, this is the first year in, although, timely. This is the first year since the eighteen hundreds that Hanukkah and Thanksgiving has started on the same day, and then it won't happen again till seventy seven thousand years from now. I did not know that. I did not know that. Yeah. And and, actually, the first time it happened in eighteen hundreds, the, Thanksgiving was not an established holiday quite yet. And so it did occur, but we didn't really recognize it. So this will be the first time in our lives and the last time in the next seventy seven thousand years that it will it will totally occur. Seventy seven thousand? You're making that up? No. That's the '7. Yeah. Seventy seven thousand. Who who's gonna be around to know?

Well, hopefully hopefully, we will. We won't be on the Earth, but Jesus will be like, hey. Hey. Here's what I was thinking about. So I was talking to my wife last night, and I I have like an old organ that I really wanted to rebuild. It's kind of broken and nasty, and I thought I really want to rebuild this. But I thought, if I'm being honest, the lifestyle that I've chosen to live as a Christ follower, a father, and a husband, and a guy who works places, I'm not gonna get it to this in the fifteen years. Like, it's honestly just not gonna happen. Right? And I thought, you know, my wife said, well, you know, I'm sorry that's not gonna happen for you. I said, I bet Jesus let me do it. I mean, would I get up to heaven? I thought, you know, does that does does that make heaven more real to me? Like, if I spend my time glorifying God, worshiping Jesus, and I said, Jesus, can I rebuild an old organ if you provide the parts? He says, yeah. I don't know why that I don't know why that excites me, but all the things that I like, I can't do because of sin in the world and the busyness of a schedule. I feel like Jesus might let me rebuild that organ, and I might be nice, peaceful, and I can do it do it to the glory of God, and I can hand over the organ to somebody. Possibility it might be consumed in that all consuming fire that happens. I'm just saying if I said, cannot rebuild an organ, and he says, sure. Can you do without sinning? Absolutely. I can. Oh, okay. Okay. Then that's love. I mean, I feel like even if even if said organ is consumed, perhaps the lord can reproduce a broken organ. He can he can give me all the bad pieces. It's not sinful. It's just opportunity. No. I can Yeah. Yeah. I mean, here's the thing. He's designed me. Right? So if I like to troubleshoot why it's not working and then rebuild it, I feel like he's designed me to do that. So, I mean,

I mean, is it possible when you get up to heaven? I know there's gonna be you're gonna be consumed by the by the holiness of the lord, and I just figured that, you know, it's like, hey. That thing you didn't get to do, I'll let you rebuild an organ. Go go ahead. I feel like that would be great. You you know, you know, think that's one of probably one of my

few true frustrations with the faith, with with faith in general is is I want a better picture of heaven because you I mean, and I'm not complaining. I'm just saying, I kinda wanna It doesn't really matter if you are. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It it yeah. I mean, by faith, I just I I I get the fact that it's just gonna be awesome and it's gonna be cool and we're with God. And and but there's all these different books and and really smart people who write these ideas of what heaven will be like. And they're a little bit different from each other, and they're smarter than I am. But then I think, that can't be right, you know, or or, yeah, that sounds good. But but none of us know. No nobody knows. Well, you know, that's the thing is actually some of the pictures that the Bible draws of heaven are not appealing to me, which is weird. Right? When it's like there's be streets of gold. And, like, I assume there's not gonna be literal streets of gold. There's a symbolic book that that is set in. Yes. Right. But like that but like that that type of opulence tends to be like I I tend to think, that well, seems like it's a bit much. Right? It's still kinda like the silver. Instead of grasping it, like, I just can we just do a regular street? I mean, I don't wanna live in crazy excess. I just wanna be okay. You know? But then it turns out because I say stuff like that, think, well, I believe that my idol is comfort. Right? Like, I don't want craziness. I just wanna be comfortable. Can it be a cotton candy street? Can it just be regular and not a big hairy deal? You know? Like, it's the gate. Really need Jasper? And

is there really a street? I mean, come on. What do we need a street for? So I've thought on multiple occasions of what heaven was gonna be like, but then I I still stop myself to this day or try to at least and think to myself, the itinerary that I come up with is probably not gonna be as holy and awesome as the stuff that god can come up with. Yeah. I really look at it. My mind can wrap around the kind of stuff that god's got in store for us. Yeah. I I really and I I've said this before, I'm sure, at some point. I look I really look at it as just as a a a infant is born into the world, and everything is like, you you know, all you know is this little sack of jelly, you know, and you're like, oh, I love swimming and it's really it's dark. And then you're born and and it's like, I didn't see that coming, you know, but it's pretty cool. And now I'm here and I'm like, I kinda like this. And I'm kinda thinking like, whenever this next transition happens and I go to heaven, it's gonna be like,

wow. That's really cool. I kinda like this. This has worked out pretty well. Yeah. Even if there is no organ repair. But maybe there is. I mean, you know, I don't know. Well, I I don't know. Like Maybe it's better than organ. Here's the thing. Like, like, if if if, you know Maybe it's guitar. If you take if you take that thing where god's like, you know, I mean, some people grab this and run for the hills, but, I knitted you together in the womb. You know, I got plans for you. Like, I feel like he's designed me. All the the glorifying to him parts, he's designed me with. Right? Like Yeah. And all of the the sinful parts that cause trouble are things that I've grabbed onto. And so the things that that I could that can be used to glorify God, I feel like he's made me specifically. And I just I wonder if that sticks with you. When you go, you know, do I go up to heaven? I no longer care about fixing things or or, you know, the things that I loved on earth. Like, I still I still love Jesus, but, like, does does all that pale in comparison? I just forget about it. That'd be okay too. I I I think maybe one of the things to think about is is at the time like, when you get to heaven, one of things that we can easily recognize in the character of God is, like, he is sharing in his attributes. Right? Like, his whole deal isn't so much to create a nation full of people who,

who he's created just only to to glorify him. He is glorified, but look at what he's done with some of his with some of his attributes, with his love. He's he's he's set up a system in which he is sharing all of those things, in which he's imprinted his image on his creation. Right? And so sometimes we get this idea that, like, once you get up there or technically here, when you're here, and and the whole place is redone, that, that he's just gonna kinda, like, white pallet everybody and just have a bunch of drones all around bringing him glory. He don't need people to he does not need our glorification of him. Right? Yeah. Like, sometimes we say that. Right? Like, we wanna bring god glory, and that's true. There's elements of that that are accurate. But, like, he does not need our glory. He did not have to create us to be glorified.

He has angels that do that for him. Right? So, like, there's an element of, I I've created these people in my image and likeness, and they share some of my attributes. And, like, ultimately, what the the process that we go through is a reconciliation with his with the intent of his creation that involves kinda sharing all of that, being inheritors of the kingdom. Right? And so so, yeah, I think we probably retain a lot of things that that we're afraid of, I think, is is a a rough translation of what we think God actually wants. And I think it's it's not really a fair picture of God. I think there's a lot of this life that shows that. God has given us those types of things. He has created uniqueness and created personality and and and created that in people. And it would be weird for him to create that and say this is good, and then pull it back and say, not when everything's redone. That's bad. Like, there there I think we can recognize that that there's aspects of what god said is good will be retained, obviously, because it was good what he did it the first time. And I think I think human personality and I think, like, relationships and I think emotions,

all all that have not been stretched into a sinful means or used in a nefarious fashion, I think all those things will exist because god created them to begin with, and they were good. I'm pretty excited about that, Tim. Yeah. I feel like that's gonna be pretty uptown. I and the only reason it struck me, like because when I said it, I thought, well, that's that's kind of a small picture heaven, but I thought, is it more real to me to say that? Probably. Right? Like, does the streets of gold thing seem way out in left field? Yeah. I don't I don't really I'm not really following that, or I I can't imagine, and I don't really even dig on it. But, like, I don't know. If it just makes me think about it in a little bit different way, like like, that I will that I will be spending time, loving people, serving God, and occasionally fixing an organ that I never really got to, I that'd be really cool. Like, I'd just be I mean, for some reason, it just brings it a little bit closer to to recognizing in my head, you know, maybe what it might be like. Mhmm. So I don't know. I don't know. Just a quick thought I went through last night. And I wonder if the we have not been given more than we have because look at what people have done with the very little that's been given.

I mean, it's heaven is an idol for some people. Like, they could care less about god. They're just they're they're escaping hell, and they're spending time in a way in which they are being served. Like, it's the total not following God thing. They're just moving it into their loop, jacking up the altitude. Yeah. Right. If I can't I'll be I don't I wanna be served on Earth, but I will love God or at least act like it so that I may be served later. And everything all my my desires will be fulfilled. And, boy, I don't wanna be spend forever with that guy. No. He seems difficult to deal with in relative to the on set earth, really. I mean, he's hard to he's hard to talk to even here on The States. So so in that case, you know, I I think that's a lot of the image of of heaven comes from a comes from, people who are who are largely just looking for a different venue in which they can be served. Yeah. And that stinks. And I and frankly, I I don't think there's there's he's handing out tickets for that because, I mean, that that's a crappy group of people to spend eternity with. And so but but think about even with the very little that we've I mean, we just have very little except for everything will be new. And, like, people are all on board with that. And with that very little part, they've run with it and and created an idol out of heaven and and made it more than what god is. And,

I don't know. Maybe if there was much more than that, I mean, think of what people would do with that stuff. And there because there would never you would never satiate that. You would never get to the point where, like, oh, I have enough information about heaven that I will stop speculating. Yeah. Like, it just it's it's unlikely to happen. Right? No. That's true. So I don't know. I mean, I I I gotta side with the lord in this one. He was he was, distinct in in what he revealed, and it must have been correct. Yeah. I'm pretty excited about this. Okay. Yeah. I'm glad we're all excited about heaven. Yeah. Seems like a generally nice place to be. It's here's the thing. It's like going to visit your your fun uncle for a long time. You don't really not sure what he has planned, but you know what's gonna be better than what you got. I think I have that fun uncle, so I'm not gonna get that one. But okay. Really? Okay. That's fair.

Fun uncle Jesus. Stop by your own. You're listening to life from the past. Here we here's what we got going on the show tonight. We're gonna try to so there's a lot of, stuff that hits the viral. Right? It goes on the YouTube and, like, rules for fathers of sons. I saw that today. We're gonna hit a couple of those and basically see the 28 rules of fathers and sons, how they stack up to biblical mandate. Okay. I mean, is the is the the thumbs up cultural representative of, how fathers treat sons, Does that match up with what kind of what scripture tells us? So we're gonna hit a a few of those. I we're gonna do a random bible quiz. I've just been searching the net for random bible quiz. We're gonna take one and see how we do. And I think it they got all kinds of stuff in here. We're gonna do the quiz on slaughter.

There's a death and destruction section. Okay. Oh, wait. There's an unusual death. No. Okay. We'll do we'll do slaughter. Maybe next week, we'll do unusual death. Alright. That's fair. Either way, seems like a lot of fun. We also got advice on on dear life from the Path. Hey. Before we get into everything else, I do wanna remind you that oh, shoot. I said no holiday. Yeah. I'm gonna do it anyway. This holiday season, in whichever one it is. Yeah. Could be anything.

But, it's a good a time as any to pick up the Christmas from the Path album. You can find it on, Amazon, on, Google Play and get it on iTunes, and, also, it's available to stream on Spotify. Just do a search for Christmas from the Path or Life from the Path and should or the combination of two should be able to pick it up. And it's a it's a collection of Christmas tunes recorded at our Christmas from the Path event last year. We got two more this year, and, it's a really fun holiday album. It's it's, it's got some got some energy to it. The sales are brisk, man. They are brisk. Would would you say it ranks in the top 10 of holiday albums that we've made? Absolutely. Absolutely does. I was just trying to get a gauge. Number one, as a matter of fact.

Soon as we get, ten years or eleven years worth of albums, it might fall out of the top. So, anyway, go pick that up. It's a it's a good way to support the show, support the local artists that were part of that. I I I I you're primarily supporting the show. We're probably not gonna make any money on this deal. No. We just wanted to create it. It's something, a way to share local artists, that that, have been on the show and that we're, singing for Jesus in a in a fun Christmas way. So, we're just we're just trying to share that, spread that around. So share the love. Buy it buy it for a friend. Don't burn it on 10 CDs and give it away. Stream it on the Spotify. That's legit. That 10 CDs is not legit. No. Don't be doing that stuff. Alright. Cool. Alright. What do you guys want? Do you wanna do the father and sons or you wanna take the quiz? Let's do the quiz, then we'll do father and son. Okay. Here we go. Take the quiz.

Alright. Mubu went Philistines, so that was tiebreaker. Go with Philistines. 10. The Lord slaughtered 50,070 men of Beth Shemesh because they looked into the ark of the Lord, offended the children of Israel, kidnapped the women of Shechem, burned the temple of the Lord. Lord slaughtered 50,070 men of Bethshemesh because they looked into the ark of the Lord, offended the children of Israel, kidnapped the woman of Shechem, women of Shechem, burned the temple of the Lord.

I'll go with d. Better get on that old testament, boys. Go with c. Burn the temple. Alright. We got two for burn the temple. Alright. Here we go. Let's see how we did. Okay. I think I have it right. Hold on. I'll laugh if it doesn't tell us the answer. It's thinking about it. It's still thinking about it. Give us the review. I'm hold on. It's okay. Here we go. Number one, the the this man murdered 85 priests of the lord, Dag the Edomite is correct. Doug. First Samuel twenty two eighteen. Good. Yep. So, yeah, he was he was the guy who was ordered to kill the priest. I've never met a good Doug. Never. Met a good quality, Doug. Dig. Two, this woman murdered her whole family except one grandson. We said Jezebel.

That is incorrect. The correct answer is Athelia according to second Kings 11. That's two for two for Mike. Just a heads up. Number three, two brothers slew all the men of Shechem for the sake of this woman. We said Dinah. That was correct. Mhmm. Question number four, this man killed 30 men just to get their garments. We said Samson. That also was correct. Question number five, the king of Judah murdered his children by burning them before pagan gods. We said Ahaz.

That is correct. Uh-huh. Number seven, Samson killed a thousand Philistines using what instrument? Jawbone of a donkey. That is correct. We're doing pretty good, boys. Question seven, whose army had a 185,000 soldiers slaughtered by an angel?

Said Assyrians. That is correct. Number eight, what judge and his army killed a 120,000 Midianites? We said Gideon. That is correct.

During Samuel's time, the Israelites had 30,000 soldiers slaughtered while fighting. We said the Philistines, that is correct. Question 10. I'm really happy on how this is going. The Lord the Lord slaughtered 50,070

men of Beth Shemesh because they, we said, burn the temple of the Lord. That is incorrect. Oh. The correct answer is looked into the ark of the Lord. Alright. So here's the here's the verse in first Samuel six, verse 19. And he smote the men of Bethshemesh because they had looked into the ark of the Lord. That's

that's pretty cut and dry. I mean, go back to foot Was it was it all 50,070 of them came by and peeked in? Even he smote of the people 50,000 and threescore and 10 men, and the people lamented because the lord had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.

It's it's a fierce bath. When it's like, they're all piling up there. They they It had to be drive bying when they were walking. It had to been a rebel, a rebel group of, like, 20, and it got them all taken out. The lord here's the deal. In the Old Testament, the lord does not put up with it much business. He says, don't look in the ark. He getting around. Don't he tells his own people don't fool with the ark, and they try to keep him from dropping, and he kills him. Yeah. Listen. I told you not to touch it. I feel like he's just following through with what he said was gonna happen. Hold on a second. Did you get 10 out of 11 on that one? I rocked. There's only 10 questions. I know. That's how amazing Nine out of 10. Excuse me. Yeah. Alright. So hold on. I'm trying to feed the I'm trying to find the context of this deal. The men of Bastromesh. For Samuel six. Two two mil cows. They put the

they put the ark of the lord in the direction of Beth Shemesh. They turn Yeah. This is where they set the cows alone. Yeah. And they turn either to the right or the left. Right. That's the big joke. That's the big joke because the the because the Israelites Nation of Israel is always turning to the right and to the left, and the cows could do what Israel do it dead on. They are the greater Israel. They cannot turn to the right or the left. Now the people of Veshamesh were reaping with their, their harvest in the valley to see it. The oh, okay. The cart comes in the field, and it stops there. They split the wood of the cart off of the thing. Man, I really need to spend some time in the Old Testament. Yeah. First Samuel is. You'll spend a lot of time. Anyway, hey, man. There's mean, seriously, there's, a million quizzes on this page. Can we take that unusual death one? You wanna do it to right now? Yeah. I think we better. Okay. Hold on. Mike wants to get another 90%.

Death and destruction. Unusual death. Oh, no. I But Lot's wife is Alright. You're you're listening to live from the path. We're taking random bible quizzes on the net. Things you could do with your free time. You could do. Luckily, we do Internet radio.

Here we go. 13 question. Who was thrown from a window and struck the ground dead? Nebuchadnezzar, Ruth, Delilah, or Jezebel? Jezebel. Jezebel. Jezebel. Everybody's in for Jezebel. What apostle was crucified?

James, do you know this one? Peter. Peter was on upside down. Yep. He was crucified upside down. Peter. Going by history, not scripture. That is correct. Who fell on their sword after seeing that king Saul had killed himself?

Anybody know without the option? Saul's Samuel. Saul's son John Samuel? Give me the option. Saul's son John that's terrible. Saul's son Jonathan, Saul's wife, Saul's armor bearer Armor bearer. The general. Yeah. There was the armor. I didn't know the guy's name. So you thought Samuel. You know, Sam? I got confused. It sounds old testament. Big Sam.

Who who lied to the holy spirit and fell dead? Sapphira. Sapphira. Sapphira. I'll say both. Well, they both did. Sapphira. Okay. Sapphira

was the was the one they looking for. When a messenger reported to Eli that the ark of God had been captured by the Philistines, Eli hung himself, fell backwards and broke his neck and died, suffered a heart attack and died, or drank a poison. Two b.

He fell backward and broke his neck? Yes. Yeah. I agree with that one. How did Haman die after king Haserus discovered his plot to kill queen Esther's people? They crucified him. Hung. Yeah. Gallows. He has hanged on the gallows. Was option b. We'll take it. Hey. We should we should still say the option's for He was beheaded. No. He was hanged on the gallows. Maybe. Yes. He was thrown from a palace window. No. He was trodden on by horses. I I thought he was staked on a pole. No. It was the gallows that was was the gallows at the time. Yeah. Yeah. The gallows Well, but the gallows at the time were a were a pole. It wasn't like a gallows like we think. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. So the hang hanged on the gallows is weird wording, but but it was, yeah, it was like a very they called it the gallows. It was a high thing, they just staked him on it. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. That had to hurt. Yeah. Anyway,

whose wife did God strike dead as a testament against his people? Elisha, Elijah, Ezekiel, Daniel.

Whose wife did God strike dead as a testament against his people? I think it's Daniel. I don't think it's the first two. I think I'm gonna go for Daniel. We don't know anything about Daniel's wife. He was a teenager. Oh, no. No. It's Ezekiel. I'm going with Ezekiel. Yes. I would go with Ezekiel. I think it's Ezekiel. Alright. Here we go. Eight. Who challenged Moses' spiritual authority and was swallowed up in the earth? Cousins? Korah,

Pharaoh, Aaron, Levi. It has to be Korah. I thought it was the sons of Korah. Well, I guess we'll see. I guess Korah. Who hand delivered a letter, the contents of which led to his own death?

Ahijah, Ahimelech, Uriah, Naboth. Uriah.

Yeah. Uriah. Wait. Wait. Wait. He didn't deliver that letter. Yeah. Yeah. He did. Yeah. Yeah. David gave Uriah the letter, said take this back to your commander as you go back to fight. Commander. Commander opens the letter and says, put Uriah in the front and have him kill. You know what? And then draw the gun. I read that story all and it's yeah. It says go ahead and draw back when the battle starts. You think Uriah's got to be looked around going, hey. Hey. Hey. Wait a minute. What? What's going on? Wait a minute. Hey. I didn't hear retreat where you guys want pull back except for Uriah. Hey, Uriah. You go ahead and take on those guys for us. I mean, here's the thing. Back here behind you. It says that Uriah was like a noble warrior, and everybody loved the guy. Right? Did he not have one friend? Because they had to tell him, like, hey, everybody. We're gonna bail on Uriah, and then he's gonna take it. You know? He's about to die. Do do you think he thought, like he think he figured it out right right when everyone was leaving. He's like, I wonder what was in that litter.

Man, David is shisty. Which king died in battle because he was struck by a random arrow between the plates of his armor? Ahasuerus, Abimelech,

Adonage, Ahab. It's not Abimelech. I think it's I think it's Ahab. I think it's also Ahab. I think it's also Ahab. King died in battle because he was struck by a random arrow between his of armor. No one's even heard of Adonage. He was like, Adonage was David's day son. I thought it was That's Abimel. Adonaija. No. Abimelech was David's son. No. It wasn't. It was the That's a guarantee. No. It's not. No. No. Adonage Remember, Abimelech had the crazy hair that got cut in the tree. That's not That is David's son. No. It's not. You're making a fool of yourself. Hold on. Abimelech is David's son,

cut in the tree with hair. No. He's not. Yes. It is. No. It's not in the sorry about this. Hold on. I'm gonna find it. The David and Son Tree Service. That's that's not what I wanted. Well, that's awesome. Shoot. Type in Abimelech. Because it's not gonna come up right. Yeah. It will.

Hair caught. No. That's Absalom. Absalom had his hair. I thought that sounded Abimelek had his hair caught. No. No. Absalom's hair gets caught in the tree. You're gonna be sorry. We're so wrong. Alright. Here we go. There were two unusual things about the death of

Asahel. No idea. What were they? One, he was unknown. One, his pursuer cautioned him to stop following him then smote him under the ribs with the blunt end of a spear. Dang. Sorry. These are long. B, he got his hair cut in the branches of a tree as he escaped. Apparently not. C, he escaped from a would be assassin but then was killed by his own servant.

D, he had killed all the men of the city, but then a woman dropped a millstone off the city wall into his head and killed him. I'm a go c. I'm a go d because that sounds righteous. Would be assassin? Alright. Majority rules. 12. And when the king of Moab saw that the battle against Israel was going against him, he took his eldest son and killed him. Why? A, he wanted Israel to win the battle. B, he thought Israel would stop the battle if they saw him kill his son. C, his eldest son was a traitor, and he had just found out about it. Or d, he was offering his son as a burnt offering. Boy, d.

I guess I'll go with d. Alright. Son as a burnt offering? Yeah. I'd go more with c, but, you know Dan feels like c. Alright. We'll go with d. Dan can be vindicated. I've been wrong. Yeah. We can't keep track of the times. There we go. Final one, thirteen. This man got his hair caught in a tree as he fled on his horse, and Joab, one of his father's servants, shot him in the heart with three arrows. Abimelech. Then 10

then 10 of Joab's armor bearers surrounded him and struck him and killed him. Here are the options. K. Amnon No. Adonage Definitely not. Absalom No. Eliezer. Come on. Oh.

It was Abimelech. Absalom. Here we go. We we'll see how we did. This this one's looking well, number one, who was thrown from window and struck the ground dead? We said Jezebel.

That is correct. Right on. Two, what apostle was crucified? We said Peter. That is correct. What did they oh, and the scripture reference is John 21 where he says you where where Jesus says, you will you will follow in my footsteps. Yeah. Okay.

Question three. Who fell on their sword after seeking that king Saul had killed himself? We said Saul's armor bearer. That is correct. Question four. Who lied to the holy spirit and fell dead? We said Sapphira. That is correct. Question five, when a messenger reported to Eli that the ark of God had been captured by the Philistines,

we said he fell backwards and broke his neck and died. That is correct. Question six, how did Haman die after king Ahasuerus discovered his plot to kill queen Esther's people? We said hanged on the gallows. That is correct. Whose wife did God strike dead as a testament against his people? We said Ezekiel.

That is correct. Alright. Question eight, who challenged Moses' spiritual authority and was swallowed up in the earth? We said Korah. That is correct. And I was gonna say, it came to pass. He made an end speaking all of them. And the earth opened their mouth and all their

and all the the men that appertained unto Korah and all their goods went down alive into the pit. Okay. Well, sons of Korah too, I guess. Nine. Who hand delivered a letter of the conscience which led to his own death? We said Uriah. That is correct. Chat says Abimelech is the son of Gideon.

The Chat doesn't know Abimelech. Which which king died in battle because he was struck by a random arrow between the plates of his armor? We said Ahab. That is correct. 11, there were two unusual things about the death of Asahel. What were they? We said he escaped from a would be assassin, but then was killed by his own servant. That is incorrect. Yeah. Correct answer is his pursuer cautioned him to stop following then smote him under the ribs with the blunt end of a spear. Why is that weird? A guy said, hey, man. You better stop following me. I'm gonna hit you with a spear. And then he kept following him, and he got him with a spear. That seems right on. I well, hold on a I don't understand this. His pursuer cautioned him to stop following

You can't if you're pursuing someone, I don't you can't caution the guy you're pursuing to stop following irritated with him because they're running in circles. So he's like, stop following me.

Alright. Alright. Here we go. 12. And when the king of Moab saw that the battle against Israel was going against him, he took his eldest son and killed him. Sorry. The, Asahel was second Samuel two. Anyway, we said Moab was offering his son as a burnt offering. Dan is not vindicated. That answer was correct. Question 13. Alright.

The man got his hair his hair caught in a tree as he fled on his horse, and Joab as one of his father's servants shot him in heart with three arrows. I said it was Absalom in face of Mike being completely wrong. I and everyone else in the room but Mike were correct. Here's the thing. Some people in the Bible have two names, and Absalom was renamed Abimelech after his murder. So we missed, one on that one. That's pretty good. Alright. I say we're doing alright. Okay. Bible trivia. I mean, there's things we need to fix in our life. There it goes. Alright. Here we go. So let's look at a couple of these, 28 rules for fathers of, of sons.

I've been passing around on Facebook, and we're gonna see if they line up biblically. Here's number one. One, love his mother. This is instruction to the father. He will learn to love like you love and hate like you hate. So choose love for both of you. Devote yourself to it. Love with your whole heart and express that love each and every day. Then someday down the road, you will see the way he loves his own wife and know that you played a part in that. Agreed? Biblically consistent?

Love his mother. Yeah. Sure, I guess. Yeah. Sorry. Buba distracted me. He was trying to show me stuff in the Bible. I was. My fault. He doesn't understand personal space. You know what I'm saying? There's a time to show him who Abimelek was. Trying to talk to people on the radio, and he's like, where's my bible study? Sorry.

Go continue on. Love his mother. We're good? Yeah. I like love your mother. Okay. Very good. Two, let him drive. Every child remembers the first time they drove on daddy's lap. For that one moment, he will believe that he is just like you. What what age are we talking? It doesn't say. Well, is there any 18 on your lap that's awkward?

No. I think he's talking about as a young boy. Like, I let my kids drive. They're five years old. I let them just take the take the boat around, and we drive around the yard in it. In the yard. Yeah. I think that's what they're talking about. Give the kid a chance to tooth the tooth the wheel. I'd say that's, that's good. It shows it shows, you know, trust in your boy and that you're trying to teach him how to do something. What? Trust him. Mean, it needs to be a staple of parenting, but I don't trust my boy. Make the car around on him. You don't let him go by himself. You're going with him. He's sitting on your lap. Yeah. I didn't I never did that. I I was

12 the first time I got a chance to drive a car, and I got to drive in a parking lot with my mom. No. My uncle let me drive down the interstate when I was, like, seven. That's true. Halfway to Omaha. It was, like, ten at night. He's crazy. That's a fun uncle. I'm just telling you. That's the fun uncle. I'm gonna disagree with him. No. Dan says don't let him drive. Nope. Alright. Three, teach him to be picky,

especially when it comes to women and burgers. Teach him never to settle. I don't know. You're gonna have to settle at some point. You're not that great. You know, ain't that a hard conversation, though? Like, like, if you're dating here's the thing. Like like, as a Christian man, when you start dating, you should be dating for marriage. So all your chips are on the table as soon as that relationship starts, and you're like, this is what I'm in for the long haul. And so, like, it's tough to invest that many chips and then bring them back. You know what I'm saying? Invest that many chips and, like, okay. I'm gonna start acting like this is gonna be my future marriage. Gonna start building things. And then you get, say, six, eight months into it, you're like, oh.

Oh, I gotta pull all my chips back and get out of here. Like, that's hard because you pretty much made the commitment that you were gonna be in it for the long haul. Yeah. Yeah. Well and we all are expecting the number 10 in however we qualify that, you know, in personality and looks and all these different things, and everyone has a different number 10. And that probably that person doesn't probably exist. You know? You have to you might have to settle for seven.

I found that in my wife, Dan. I don't know about you. Well, I I have I have a 12, and and just talked to a lot of people who had to settle. I'm I'm glad I got this bike that allows me to back pedal.

Yeah. In the right circumstances, yes. To be picky. Generally, about burgers, I don't feel like that's a staple in life.

Some of it's funny, meant to be funny. It's lost on booba. It's not about his personal time. Nope. Teach him to never settle. Yeah. I mean, I right. The the underlying thought, like, don't I don't know. I don't know. May may I I probably would have expressed that differently. Right? Like, it's don't be foolish.

Yeah. Don't don't settle for sin. Don't settle for second best. Settle for God. God. Don't settle for Satan's counterfeit. Yeah. Yeah. There. That's all biblical right there. Brimstone.

Yeah. Number four, take him to the ball game. There's something about sharing a day of hot dog, sunshine, and baseball with Yeah. This this is stupid. I don't think Jesus cares. I don't think I care. What the kid don't even like ballgame? It wasn't introduced as a Jesus list. We're just I thought we were we were comparing it. We're vetting it. That's what I'm saying. So but you can't fault it for not being a Jesus list. That's not enough the list problem. You say Jesus doesn't care. If we are revising it in Jesus' eyes Just say, okay. Well, when we say take him to the ballgame, we say, don't care. Do something. Do something with your kids. Spend time with them. Mean Be involved in their lives. Yeah. Whether it be a baseball game or something else. Yeah. That's a big bible study.

Here we go. Love with bravery. Boys have this preconceived notion that they have to be tough. When he is young, he will express his love fully and innocently. As he grows, he will hide his feelings and wipe off kisses. Teach him to be a man who rubs them in. It takes courage for a man to show love. Teach him to be courageous. What? Listen. Teach him to cry? Did I read that misread that? I I think it's it's trying to counteract the sturdy oak man concept of

you shouldn't show emotion. You're a man. Be be a solid rock in in life. That is three generations ago. I don't know. I think that's still being taught today, man. Fathers Oh. Maybe not to the same point. Sons of those men are raising kids today? Right. Exactly. We still have people that that the social

concept of a man is is somebody who, you know, is the strong and the person in the household that, you know, your feelings is for your mom. Go go deal with that. I'll I'll sit here and I'll build stuff or whatever. And I think that And break stuff. And break stuff. Yeah. Exactly. Men punch things and and drink beer. That's that's a man in society, which is ridiculous.

So I would agree with that one. Actually, I think I agree with that too. A lot of the examples of fathers that I see, around my circle of friends are very much like that. I maybe not, yeah. They're not a whole lot of emotion. Like, it's and I fall into this trap too where it's a given that that that the woman is gonna watch the kids. Doesn't matter what's going on. Right? It's a given that the ladies are watching the kids. And, I, yeah, I I think I do agree with that.

Sex. Talk about sex. Sometimes boys need to know that all men are created equal. I don't get the explanation. What does that mean? Yeah. I don't get that either. Although, agree they need to talk before they hear from their peers. Right. We need to explain the biblical concept of sex, what it's for, and what the parameters talking about a penis. Just talking about the penis. Really? I think that's Boys need to know that all men are created equal? That's not true.

You need to tell them that too. Do have interest because they're gonna get in high school and figure it out, it's gonna be they're gonna be dad Told me lies. Don't tell them lies, bro. From a biblical standpoint, we need to explain sex and why god created it and who it's for. Yeah.

Devin, teach him to be a man's man. Show him how to be brave and tough around the guys, then remind him on the ride home that it's okay to cry. What? Around your buddies, be be an oak of strength, but it's okay to cry when you're with me, buddy. Introducing your counselor. Yeah. I don't know. I feel like if you just teach them to be honest. Sometimes it's time to cry, man. That

right. That's the answer. Teach your kid to be honest. Yeah. Teach them to be a man, though. Yeah. Not Taking away all the societies, you know, what I mean, is it? What is a man? You know, David wrote poetry, and he also went and tore bears heads off. You know? It it depended on what was needed at the time. Yeah. I think that we need to stop looking at action movies for what we should be men like. Yeah.

It's ridiculous. We need to stop looking at How do I feel like your one point, Dan's counterpoint, and you're both agreeing with each other? You know what I'm saying? Dan's like, don't turn them into sissy girls. And you are like, hey. Don't get them from the Terminator movies. And, like, I feel like you guys are on either streamers. Medium. Why you just I'm a be honest. You don't have to have explain nothing. What if he's not a manly man like you're saying? I What if he what what if he'd lose an arm wrestling match to an eight year old kid? Okay. I mean, he's kind of a Nancy. That's why. Go live weights with him. Why he why does he have to live weights? Mike, I feel like you're bringing on a third counterpoint and arguing our points, but at the same time, we're on the same page. I feel like we're not. Okay. No. Respond to Mike's respond to Mike's assertion.

I haven't I don't think Dan and I are on the opposite side of this. That's not I didn't ask you that. I said respond to Mike's assertion. Mike said, why does he have to be manly? He can lose he can lose arm wrestling to an eight year old. Why do you have to teach him lift weights? I I said it's fine for him to lose. That's it, Dan. Okay. Go. Oh, you know, I think that that kinda goes back to what I was saying. We don't have to worry about the society's definition of a man. Look at the biblical definition of of a man. And the man and the bible doesn't care if they can lift weights or aren't. But didn't you just say, like he said, don't make them a sturdy oak, and you're like, that was three generations ago. And there you are sitting in that chair going, lift weights. It's a sturdy oak. Eat tree bark.

Because I see today I mean, even, like, just just watching, like, football or sports, those are, your manly men things, and they cry at the end of a game, but they lose. It's like, what happened to that? You know, it it didn't used to be like that. You know, we've gotten a little wimpier. We've kinda sissified our our men, I'd say, over the past couple decade, couple three decades. Yeah. But here's the deal. Do what's good or bad? I'm just saying not hard? Playing football. Do you know what's hard? Running a godly marriage. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Raising kids. But I I think to I think to Dan's point, like, regardless of whether you chew which field you choose, the field of marriage or the field of football, like I weep at night. What is the problem? I I think I think there is there has been a tendency where a man has not ultimately taken responsibility for either one. Right? The crying happens because he bailed and someone else is to blame. The only reason you like, he cries in that situation is to draw attention to himself to make it clear that he it was not his fault. Someone else has done this to me. So someone else lost the game for me. So hey. My marriage falling apart. No one jumped in to save it. Like, it's a responsibility issue.

And I would agree with that. I would agree that that's a that's a problem. We're not teaching our men to be responsible regardless of their physical characteristics. We're not taking responsibility for the things that they are indeed responsible for. How they whether they feel responsible responsible or not. The truth of the matter is they are responsible, and they're not acting like it. Yeah. And I'm I'm not saying they can't cry. I'm saying cry at appropriate things.

Yeah. Whatever the game. Okay. Yeah. Whatever Danny deems appropriate, then Yeah. Yeah. Ask me first. Text me. Hey, Danny. This is Brian. No. Dan, this is Troy. Can I cry? I saw this movie. The line is long at the DMV. Do you feel like That's gonna be one of our new things. Happens to me every time I cry. Dear Dan, can I cry? The following. Suck it up. Here we go. Share secrets together. Communicate. Talk. Talk about anything. Let him tell you about girls, friends, school. Listen. Ask questions. Share dreams, hopes, concerns. Okay. Hold on. Isn't that kinda obvious? It's not like your kid's like, dad, I'm thinking about seeing this girl. Shut up.

Get away from me. Better talk to your Go talk to your mother. I told you to lift weights, and that's all. Can you arm wrestler? I mean, I feel like that's that's kind of obvious. Right? Like, talk to your children. Okay.

I mean, I It should be, but it's not. I mean, it's it's talking about having a relationship. On the website that is that is has this list on it right under the neck under share secrets together is a picture of what appears to be a 3.5 old extending the middle finger Yikes. At something. Yikes. I mean Bummer. I I I mean, don't know. I mean, I I wouldn't be, like, sharing secrets, like, to the exclusion of, say, their mother or against their mother or maybe even their sisters. But, like, I mean, yeah, talk to your son. Ask him what's what. Ask him what's needed. Basket above the fridge. Yeah. Keep it to yourself. And find out find out who they're mad at. Find out who they're avoiding in the hallway just so you can be, couple days later, say, you'd you run an old Bobo?

Actually, you know what? Too too much of our, of parenting discipline has come into, asking questions without wanting an answer. Like, sometimes parents will go, why are you acting this way? And they don't really wanna know. It's just that's their discipline method is to, like, throw out hypothetical questions.

But, like, I actually, like, actually care about the answer. Say, no. Seriously. What's what's going on with you? Why not just, why are you acting this way? You always act like this. You act terribly. Like, you know, use the question. That's cool, but, you know, care about the answer. Boy, because I I you see it all, especially in the story, you run across people, and they're like, they're asking a whole bunch of question. Like, the kid is on the psychology couch. Like, I never I can't believe this happened to me. Why are things going on this way? You're never like this at home. Yeah. Right. Yeah. The kid's always like that. Absolutely. Alright. Teach him manners because sometimes you have to be his father, not just his friend. The world is a happier place when made up of polite words and smiles.

Yeah. I agree with that. Yeah. Teach him how to control himself. Yeah. Seriously, that kid will go 11 times farther than you ever had in mind if he can say, ma'am, sir, please, and thank you. Yeah. That goes a long way. Ted, teach him when to stand up and when to walk away. He should know that he doesn't have to throw punches to prove he is right. He may not always be right. Yeah. Make sure he knows how to demand respect. He is worthy of it. No. He's Everybody lost him. Yeah. It does not mean he has to fight back with fists or words because sometimes you say more with silence.

I don't know about that. Now I'm not saying you shouldn't be silent. I'm just saying you don't really say more. That sounds like something clever to say, but you do not say more with silence. You just you just avoid it. I don't know.

I mean, you always get those movies, right, where there's always some mysterious character that shows up. Don't see him for five seconds, then he walks away. Like the smoking man on the x files. Yeah. And so, I mean, he says a lot with silence. They're like, what's he up to? What's he saying? What's he about? You don't know. He's all all you already do is perpetrating mystery. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Teach him to choose his battles. Make sure he knows which battles are worth fighting, like for family or his favorite baseball team. Remind him that people can be mean and nasty because of jealousy or other personal reasons. Help him to understand when to shut his mouth and walk away. Teach him to be the better person. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's alright. Agree. Although, I don't know if I mean, you don't wanna say

I mean, people can be mean and nasty. You know? But, I mean, I don't know if I'd weigh heavy on the people. Some say things out of jealousy because you're so great. You know what I'm saying? Like, here here's the deal. Like, I I talk I've talked to my kids about this all the time. My daughter's in and goes to school, and and she has a couple kids at school that that that give her the problems. And, like and so, you know, we've talked about it, and and she's like, well, she always does mean things and she does bad this and this and this and that. I said, do you get the impression that this little girl knows who Jesus is? And she says, no. And I said, well, I feel like there's your explanation right there. Let's pray for her mommy and daddy and let's pray for her. I said, I it's unfair. I I mean, what do you expect out of her if she doesn't know Jesus? She doesn't know and act any better. You know? If I can understand that concept and really get it down, I feel like my relationship with a lot of people would improve. Same thing with my kids. If my kids could really understand that they're not better than those people, they just happen to have a relationship with Jesus and and and the other people don't. And, like, that makes all the difference in the world. And it it actually puts sin in a very easy to find category. Right? Like, you wanna get mad at people. You wanna hold grudges at people because they they screwed you at work or they stole your presentation or they, you know, they've been showing up late and taking advantage or stealing money, you're like, they don't know Jesus. What do you expect? Yeah. What do expect from them? You know? So stop stop looking at the guy. Look at the sin. Look at their look that they're they're devoid of the joy of Jesus Christ, and that's why they're acting the way they are. And then all the liabilities off you to be mad. Like, you know the cause of cause of the thing, so it's not anything to be upset about. 12, let him dance in tighty whities.

Dance alongside him and yours. Teach him that there are moments when it's okay to be absolutely ridiculous. This was written by a women woman, wasn't it? Hold on. Let me check. No. It's a dude by Dan Pierce. It's a metrosexual. Why

would you say that? I think the principle itself is is fair, but I don't know about dancing in tight Have fun with your kid. It may not be necessary to be in the tight whities. It's okay to have fun. Alright. We ain't got time for all these. Here we go. Share music.

Let him win. Let him win. Hey, man. I was playing a card game with the kids. I crushed them. I mean, crushed them. Seven and four. Eat it.

Ants on the march. Yeah. I beat them in monopoly. I don't let them win monopoly. I I I might throw a couple games here and there, but I won't throw monopoly. I I let them, not know. I let them win. And as they got older, I got stronger in whatever the game in competition. So so they could grow with it and I might teach them, hey, here's, you know, what you wanna do here. And see, my my grandpa never did that for me. Like, he would always just he would weasel properties away from me at outrageous bargains when I was, like, six or seven. He's like, I tell you what. I'd like to buy that boardwalk coffee. You don't need it. I'll give you $10. I'm like, $10? Alright.

He's taking advantage of me. I'm a small kid. Anyway, here we go. I'll pick a rat couple around to him. Let's see. Father him. Well, yeah, that's implicit on a rule of father.

Give him baths because mom can't do everything. Yeah. I think that's actually important, for dads anyway. Not only because, I did it, but, like, I purposely chose bath time, when when my kids were born. And I thought no matter what, I'm gonna I'm gonna give them a bath. And, like, I I stuck to it. We're I got one that's five and one's that's three, and I've I've probably given them 99.9%

of their baths. I do the baths. We move them up showers. I switch them to showers. Like, I mean, there's gonna be a time when when dad's out and then but it's not yet. And so, like, I always I always knew I was gonna give him bath, and I was always gonna be the one that put him to bed. And, my my wife will share in that every once in a while, but but I'm I am the staple. And I did that because I knew if I didn't pick the times and be very specific about it, that I would find other things to do. Because I'm a dad and I'm a man, and I got, you know, we got a a lawn to mow and a car to fix and whatever. And I decided this, I'm not gonna give this up. And up to this point, it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made is to make sure that that when it's bath night, they come looking for me because that's that's what dad does. And so I I I think that's a fantastic idea. Because the truth is if you're if you're really trying to keep up the your role as a husband or father, you're gonna stuff's gonna drag you away. You're gonna have church stuff to do. You're gonna have work. You're gonna get, I mean, you're just gonna get bogged down with a lot of crap to do. Just don't don't negotiate with that stuff. If you say you're gonna do bath time when that kid's born, do it. I mean, every every Tuesday, Thursday, whenever you do baths, you're you're always home, and you will always be there for that. I think it's it's it's priceless. Actually, this was a woman. The so the damn guy posted it, but it was written by a lady. Right. Sarah. Sarah somebody. I'll rest my keys. Here we go. Teach him to pee standing up. Let him pee outside such as the joy of being a man. Mom cannot teach his talents if someone has to. I'll let my girls pee outside.

I don't care. I live on a farm. What do we I mean, they gotta sometimes it's a long walk, but Toss them around. Grow a big belly because every child should get the chance to rest their head on the absolute softest pillow ever. Daddy's This is definitely ridden by woman. Daddy's belly is the best place to lay. I never felt that way about my dad. Never. Let's reiterate this. Yeah, buddy.

I'm a be a good daddy. I will tell you so not to to go too far from this, but I will tell you, I would I would totally agree with that. It's one of the coolest things. My dad was a very, very big guy. And I remember one of the coolest memories we ever had was we went out to one of the lakes here, Sailorville Lake,

and he would float in his back. And then he was a big enough guy for Trey and my Trey, my older brother, and myself to sit on his stomach while he floated. He floated around the entire lake with us, and he would fish would swim up and everything like this, and we got to see it because he was our own personal boat. It was one of the coolest things ever, and I remember that. That's one of the only things that I remember that he specifically did from my childhood. Alright. Cool. Anyway, that I posted a link on the chat if you guys wanna check out the rest of that list, but I don't know. Yeah. Dear, life from the path,

I, my father has, when my father died, he had left a will that included a

money set aside for my brothers and I as well as money set aside for his his wife who's my stepmom and her children. Recently, she has died, and I've been come to find out that,

that the will has been rewritten, and myself and all of my family has been written out of the will. So there was no money left. It has come to my thought that, he is buried next to my, to my stepmother.

And, in recompense for, the the maneuvering of the will,

it has crossed my mind that perhaps I would dig up his body and move it away from this woman who has obviously disregarded his final wishes that his family be taken care of. What are your thoughts on moving the body to another location? Wow. I mean,

here's the thing. If you would've if you would've gotten some of the money, I wouldn't have been near as much of a financial burden to do so and easier. So let let let's say let's say the asker of the question, money is not a consideration.

Yeah. I'd do it. Heck yeah. I would. Why not? I mean, here's the deal. Like, in the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter. It's and and frankly, like, the the whole situation goes away when you're dead. And so, like, I mean, how many years you got left? Twenty, thirty? How I mean, if your dad passed away, you might have thirty years left in you. I mean, is it really worth battling about? It'd be kinda nice and I don't know. It'd be probably it'd a nice feeling for about a day or two, and then you'd realize you made a big mistake and it really wasn't that big of a deal.

I'm not against it, though. John Buva? I think I think the motives behind it,

seem a little vindictive of, well, you wrote him out of this. Guess what? You don't get to bear get buried next to him and then run away with a a coffin.

We'll show you. That's true. If you're doing this, like, by yourself,
