Segments

  • Show open and rundown 0:06–3:25
The hosts open live from the Pathway Studios in Johnston, contrast the internet stream with the KTIA radio broadcast, and preview the night's lineup: in-studio guest Bethany Joy Johnson, a round of Dear LFTP advice, a failed-end-of-the-world quiz, Pope-style advice, and a taste of the LFTP Christmas album.
  • GodIsImaginary.com is gone — God won 3:25–5:10
A host reports that GodIsImaginary.com, the atheist site the show has been rebutting for 24 weeks, has disappeared. The hosts riff on it — one says 'God won,' another jokes the author converted, and a host says he had put the site's author on his prayer list weeks earlier.
  • The 24-7 prayer room 5:12–7:50
The hosts describe the church's twice-yearly 24-7 prayer room next door to the studio: round-the-clock prayer for a week or two, white paper on the walls for written prayers. One host reflects on the written prayers as a glimpse of what God sees, another admits to weeping over someone's soul there, and the group jokes about removing shoes on holy ground and foot odor.
  • Sponsor read: Valley Services 7:50–9:03
A holiday-themed sponsor read for Valley Services residential cleaning: a host pitches cleaning as a gift for one's significant other before family visits, offers a fifth cleaning free for mentioning Live from the Path, and the hosts joke about a new puppy and towel hoarding.
  • Guest interview: Bethany Joy Johnson, part 1 9:03–12:09
The hosts interview in-studio musical guest Bethany Joy Johnson. She describes her debut album Breaking New Ground (released March 3), rewriting all the songs in the studio, a year that included the Iowa State Fair and opening for the Natas at a Metro Arts Alliance benefit, and tells the story of an old lady who gave her $5 for a candy bar after she helped her find her car — which the hosts dub 'the Ananias candy exchange.'
  • Performance: 'Someday' by Bethany Joy Johnson 12:20–15:04
Bethany Joy Johnson performs her original song 'Someday,' which she wrote from her life goals and the legacy she hopes to leave. The hosts praise how well the melody fits her voice.
  • Station break banter and quiz tease 15:04–16:58
After the song, the hosts banter about falsetto envy and beatboxing, take a station break for KTIA listeners while riffing with the internet audience, and tease the coming quiz — 'the end of the world as we know it.'
  • Quiz: The end of the world as we know it 16:58–27:51
The hosts and their guest play a five-question multiple-choice quiz about people who wrongly predicted the end of the world: Pope Innocent III and 1284 (answer: Islam), William Miller and the Millerites (answer: all of the above), the Anabaptist takeover of Munster in the 1530s (answer: all of the above), 1524 astrologers predicting a flood (conflicts with God's promise never to flood the earth again), and the exhumed historical figure of 1000 AD (answer: Charlemagne). The hosts score themselves freely and close with a pitch to play the show's games online.
  • Christmas show announcement and dead-Andy banter 27:51–30:41
Bethany announces her Christmas show: December 16 at 6:30 p.m., First Baptist Church in Indianola, free admission, full band, games and prizes. The hosts then riff on the recently deceased Andy Williams and Andy Griffith ('a bad year to be an old Andy folk singer') before teeing up the LFTP Christmas album bit.
  • Parody Christmas album infomercial 30:41–34:03
A produced comedy infomercial for the fictional LFTP Christmas album 'Ben, Mike, and Dan sing over perfectly good Christmas songs' plus the bonus classic 'It's a Wonderful Live from the Path,' with badly sung samples of Christmas standards, quoted scenes from It's a Wonderful Life, a $58 price tag, and the disclaimer that no albums were actually produced and listeners should give their money to someone in need.
  • Guest interview, part 2: new singles and Christmas songwriting 34:16–37:35
The hosts return to the interview: Bethany describes writing the new single 'Lost' at shows until fans begged her to record it, and explains why writing a Christmas song is so hard (everything turns into Jingle Bells or Bing Crosby). The hosts rehearse her audience echo part for the live performance, joking about sounding like the Jolly Green Giant.
  • Performance: 'Lost' by Bethany Joy Johnson 37:35–41:30
Bethany performs her new single 'Lost' live in studio, with the hosts joining in on the echo part they rehearsed. The hosts call it catchy and joke about quitting jobs and kicking open diner doors.
  • Post-song wrap 41:32–42:43
The hosts react to 'Lost,' confirm it is not yet on CD ('soonish'), joke about putting the live take on iTunes, and restate the December 16 Christmas show details before moving on to Dear LFTP.
  • Dear LFTP: the clingy boss 42:43–48:47
A listener writes that her new boss Harold insists on eating lunch with her every day and asks how to say no without offending him. The hosts debate whether he is lonely or attracted to her, reject lying about a cage-fighter boyfriend and over-complicated dodges, and land on the direct approach: tell him honestly and kindly that the work relationship needs to stay at work. The 'Secular says' answer — politely but firmly guard your lunch hour — is read and dismissed as stiffly worded but basically right.
  • Dear LFTP: six cats and Thanksgiving 48:47–53:07
A listener who is allergic to cats asks how to handle Thanksgiving at a relative's house where cat hair ends up on the table, plates, and food. The hosts advise being honest about the allergy, offering to celebrate elsewhere or asking the cats to be corralled, and read the 'Secular says' answer about arranging to celebrate elsewhere. A host shares a story about missing Thanksgiving with a toothache that looked suspicious when he felt better afterward.
  • Pope-style advice: God's not a liar 53:07–56:25
Mike, addressed by name in the audio, delivers the Pope-style advice: 'God's not a liar. Stop acting like he is.' After a church sermon on tithing he realized that holding back from giving is calling God a liar about providing; he applies the same pattern to a work situation and a conversation with a kid about Jesus, and concludes that God's answers are yes, no, or none of your business — never wishy-washy.
  • Close and plugs 56:25–56:57
The hosts close out: thanks to Bethany Joy Johnson, reminders of bethanyjoyjohnson.com, the December 16 Christmas show at First Baptist Church in Indianola, and the show's Monday internet / Saturday KTIA schedule.

Live from the Pathway Studios in Johnston Proper, you are live from the Path. And you're listening to Live from the Path. We're broadcasting here from the Pathway Studios here in Johnston Proper. Stop laughing. They don't know anything about that, Mike. That's new to you. Hey, so look, we've got a great show for you tonight. I'm glad that you guys are joining us. If you're catching us on livefrompath.org, thanks for hanging out during that interlude. I hope you enjoyed it. If you're on KTIA, you don't have any idea what I'm talking about because we cut out that stuff. You guys get the quality. That's right.

You poor internet suckers. You get whatever we throw out onto the airwaves. It takes us 16 hours to get down to one hour. We're good to let down to an hour of good stuff. So the opening of the show, regardless, we should have a great show for you. First of all, Bethany Joy Johnson is in studio with us today. I'm excited. She comes highly recommended and has an active Twitter feed. Is that true? I just learned how to Twitter like two months ago, guys, and like tagging people in it. So I try. On a scale of one to ten, how do you feel that you are at the Twitter? I would say I'm a 10.5.

That's ambitious. Thank you. That's confident. I feel like your self-esteem is too high. So is my hair. You rated yourself out of the scale. So anyway, we're going to get to know her a little bit. She's got a couple of songs that she's going to perform for us. A special Christmas program announcement. I'm excited for the show, the Christmas show. You're going to find out where it's at and what's going on. And we're going to find out from her on that. Also, you're going to continue.

Mike's got some Pope-style advice. Yeah, I do. And we're going to do some Dear Live from the Path. Mike, people need help. The economy's still rough. People are concerned about what's going on in the world. And they say, man, I need some help. And only Live from the Path can give me the advice that I need. Actually, it seems like a lot of holiday issues today. People having lots of cats at their place. And they're looking for etiquette questions. This may not be the boiling pot of where to figure it out. But I feel like we're going to tackle it anyway, you know?

Okay. All right. I'm excited about it. We're also going to do a quiz. And so you'll recognize this. We had something similar about a month back. And it's the end of the world as we know it. And we'll see whether you know it. We're going to be walking through whether you can pinpoint people who have inappropriately predicted the end of the world. Now, are we going to do the Christmas special? Yeah. So also, it's getting that time of year.

Do you like that segue? Right in. No, I thought it was smooth. That's why we announced it. It's quasi-legitimate radio right there. So we're going to put an album together. Like, generally, when an artist has been established, they dip their toe in the waters of the, you know, Christmas album. And Live from the Path, I feel like we've reached that level. Like, on a scale of 10, we're 10 and a half. Wait, do I get to rate this one, too? Yes. Yes.

Okay. I can't wait. I feel like, that was a good idea, Ben. She seems like she tips the scale to the positive. A little optimistic. A for effort. So you're going to get a taste of that, of the Live from the Path Christmas album. And I really think you're going to enjoy it. And I've got some terrible news. Oh, go. Hit me. I mean, it's just terrible. Hit me.

So for the last 24 weeks, we've been checking out the guy from GodIsImaginary.com. He gives his reasons, his proofs, he says, as to why God is imaginary. And I was looking up number 25 today, because God's 24 and 0, but this guy's got some more shots. Yeah. You can give it a go. And the website is just gone. He's just, doesn't that blow your mind, Dan? You didn't know that, did you, Dan? I did not. Yeah. God won. Probably because we defunct everything.

Yeah. He's like, oh, there's no reason to go on. When you say stuff like defunct, he has no choice but to leave. Maybe he's coming back with, God is not imaginary. Yeah. Here's what probably happened. He read his own synopsis of why he thought God was imaginary. And he thought, man, by this rationale, I'm imaginary. And had to give up. He's the reverse Pinocchio. I'm not a real boy. Well, that would have been a terrible movie if Pinocchio just sat there in the first five minutes and said, they're right.

I'm a puppet. There's no reason to keep going. I think he's converted. I'm going good on this. You think he converted? I think he's Jesus' man now. He still runs godhatesamputees.com. Well, I can't answer one way or another about that. Maybe he hasn't gotten to taking that one down yet. At least he knows he's not imaginary. Right. No, that's true. That's a step.

That's true. Step one. We're making progress. One step at a time. Here's the deal. I'm not going to put that past him because actually a couple, three weeks ago, I can't remember what his proof was, but I decided he was going on a prayer list. You know what I'm saying? Like, entertainment aside, proofs aside, I'm praying for this man. You know? Yeah. And I've been doing it. So, you know, I don't know.

Influence the Lord either way. But, you know, hopefully he's gone well. I'm guessing he's been listening and he hears our arguments and says, they're right. See, that's what I said. Yeah. He goes, that one doofus and those twin boys are right. I am just angry. And also, speaking of the time of year, it starts to get cold. I mean, the weather turns. Sometimes my left toe gives a little jingle. And that tells you that it's the time of year when we're going to have a 24-7 prayer room. Yeah. And we're broadcasting right now from the 24-7 prayer room.

Just, I mean, near a three foot away from the Pathway Studios. Good old pants is hanging out in there. It's hopping. It is hopping in there. And so, if you're not familiar with it, I'll just give you a quick rundown. Twice a year, we like to do a 24-7 prayer room. And that's 24 hours a day for seven days a week for a week or two at a time. There is someone in this room that is just to the whatever direction of me. East? Call it right. Okay. East. The east of me.

And there's someone praying in there 24 hours a day. And it's a cool opportunity for church to come together and just share a time of prayer. And the walls are lined with white paper, so people kind of write their prayers on there. And then you can go along and pray with them, alongside them, with the things that they've written and kind of, you know, add the things that you want prayer for. And it's just a real cool thing. And one of the things that I thought about the last time we had a prayer room is I remember looking around. It was the end of the, it was a two-week, we were in a two-week prayer bender. All right. And I was looking around and there's like stuff everywhere in this room, like people's prayers and written all over the place. And I thought, you know, I think this is a glimpse of a little bit of what, of what God

gets to see, right? God is standing in the middle and the prayers of his people are like arising up and, and, and, and people are praising him and worship him and, and, and like in submitting prayers to him. And I thought, you know, that's a tiny glimpse, right? But like, what a, what a, what a thought that was. I think if we lit it on fire and then it would be like, truly like the smoke instant, maybe we shouldn't do that. Yeah. Let's not light the prayer room on fire. I was just in there the last hour and there was like, well, what, four of us, I think that were in there and it was actually kind of emotional at times. And I don't know that I've been in there where it's been emotional before.

You know what I mean? I mean, there's all kinds of emotions that come through, but I mean, like, as far as like actually weeping for the soul of somebody. Yeah. I mean, okay. I wasn't weeping, but it was, I was gonna, I was, I was emotional. I just gnashed my teeth. This is a safe place, Dan. You could tell us. Okay. I was weeping like a little girl. Okay. Everybody takes their shoes off.

You know, like the smell of everybody's feet. No. It's because it's holy ground. It really is. Maybe. Actually, that is kind of half and half. It wouldn't really cast the tenor of the moment a little bit differently if God said, please remove your shoes because you funky. Never, never, never. That's funky. Put them back on, please. Moses, put those back on, please. That's why we have the scented candle, though.

Unless he brought Febreze. That's a solid move. All right. So anyway, that's what we got going on the show tonight. By the way, the show this week is brought to you by Valley Services. If you go to ValleyServicesServices.net, you can find more information about their residential cleaning. Here's the deal. You're coming up. Fellas, I'm talking to the fellas here. So the holidays are upon you. Yeah. The thing that really could do to help out your significant other.

What can I do, Ben? Is to buy some cleaning for them. I can't make any more mistakes this year. They're worried about the place looking good when the family's coming over. And if you go to Valley Services, they can help you out. And here's what we're going to do. If you go there and you tell them that you heard about them on Life in the Path, we'll give you the fifth cleaning free. Wow. That'll hook you right before you go out on Christmas. That's pretty generous, Ben. Okay. So anyway, and also, for no other reason, call Valley Services and say, thank you for sponsoring

Life in the Path because we wouldn't be able to do this without their sponsorship. I should probably call them. I think it's a good idea. Well, we have a puppy. Hopefully they cut hair too, huh? No, you can't just pile stuff up and wait for them to shovel it away. Well, I'm just saying. Sometimes puppies are slow at learning. I understand. I understand. I have that problem, so I don't pick up towels. It's not the exact same problem. It's not apples, apples.

It's in the same environment. What is this large? Ben, we've talked about this. We've been married 10 years. This has to end. I'll tell you what. Let's get to know our guest. This is Bethany Joy Johnson. Bethany, thank you for joining us on Life in the Path. Thanks for having me. So here's the deal. We heard very good things about you. You came highly recommended from another guest we had on the show, Double J.

And so we were looking over some information about you. And it sounds like you've had a pretty busy year. It has been a busy year. Yes, I released my first album, Breaking New Ground, which came out on March 3rd. And that was really exciting. I got to, I went in the studio first with a bunch of songs that I had already written and ended up scratching all of those songs and completely rewriting it as I was recording, which at times was very frustrating. But when it was all said and done, I just knew it was exactly what God had laid on my heart. And it was exactly where I needed to be with my music at that time. After that, God just really take care of the whole year so far. I was asked to play at the Iowa State Fair.

I was asked to open for the Natas at Metro Arts Alliance benefit that they had, as well as just playing lots of charities and Spirit Midwest, I was also asked to do. So it's been a very blessed year. All right. Well, that's a pretty heavy hitting in the first year that the album came out, huh? Yeah. Yeah, that's some sweet heat. God's been good. That's very awesome. And so you can find more information about that if you go to Bethany's website. It's bethanyjoyjohnson.com. And like I said, she's also an active tweeter. She's on the tweeter.

Yeah, I read something. Follow me on Twitter. There was something that had to do with candy bar. People handing over free candy bars to you. I thought that was a pretty cool story. Yeah? I was hoping you'd elaborate after I set it up, but apparently… My free candy bar. So there was a candy bar. Yeah. Well, I was helping an old lady find her car. And she was like, here, here's $5. Go find yourself a candy bar.

And I'm like, obviously, what up, Twix? You know, like, what else am I supposed to do? Hey, old ladies think inflation is out of control. It's time to help more old ladies. No doubt. I had no idea it was so profitable. It's being the Lord's work. You got plenty of change from just buying a Twix bar, so you can save up that, get yourself the candy, and then just keep building upon that, helping out old ladies in the parking lot. Troy, you're a terrible person. That's what you do with the money. What Twix candy bar do you know that's $5?

Well, what does an old lady know? And you're going to find her again and give her back her change? Be like, hey, it was only $1.09. Hey, she blessed me. I blessed her. It all worked out. There it is. The Ananias candy exchange. Yes, Lord, a $5 to a stimulator. And she found her way home. She found her car. Exactly. That's not just skimming off the top.

I'm a smart investment person. It's way more entertaining than the way Mike tells us about how you would handle it. And you look terrible. Thank you. Well, I'll tell you what. So let's get a taste of your music. Tell me a little bit about the first song that you're going to play. This song is called Someday, and I originally wrote it as, you know, I was writing down some goals for my life. I'm very goal-oriented, and this is really all the things that I really hope for for my life and the legacy that I'll leave. Cool. Well, very cool.

You are listening to Bethany Joy Johnson on Live from the Path. Take a breath and let it go. And take one glance and turn around. And every day thank him above everything. And ask every chance to get this every change. Because at one time let it go. Take one glance. Great. You know what I liked about that one is like, this may sound like an odd compliment, but like the melody really fits your voice. Like really, really well. That's crazy. I wrote it.

Yeah. That's crazy. I usually try to go too often. That was awesome. I know. I was trying to do something that, you know, it doesn't fit me at all. Yeah. Thank you. I feel like you and Inglebert Humperdinck are like the same. No, it was excellent. It was very nice. It was very nice. Like butter.

See, here's the thing. I wanted to do the falsetto thing after I heard her do it, where you go, you know, you change up to the high. I can't do it. But I really wanted to join. So that's one of those songs where like you want to join in seeing it, but you know better. Don't worry. I have a song you guys get to participate on next. No doubt. Because we're notoriously terrible at that. No, I'm serious. Should we run up? No, it's going to be so good.

Okay. We just started in just out of nowhere. I've changed my mind from disappointed that I couldn't do the falsetto thing to excited because I'm back in. Can we give him a camera for that so he gets a solo? Yeah, definitely. I was going to beatbox. That's a mistake, but you're the guest. I'm going to do whatever you ask. You've been listening to Life in the Path. That was Bethany Joy Johnson. We're going to take a quick station break, and we'll be right back with you. You're listening to Life in the Path on KTAA and lifeinthepath.org.

If you guys hanging out here on the internet channel. No station break for you. You need to get this kind of special talking. You get bonus content. You know what the worst part about watching the internet broadcast is? You just get to hear us explain on how the other people aren't getting this bonus content, and actually, you never get any content. We just talk about how other people aren't getting it. But we make them feel good about it. Yeah, yeah. Like you're part of a secret club. That's right. I tried to think of a cool knock-knock joke to tell.

I mean, something that would really stand out, but I don't have any. What's coming up? Are we going to do that quiz? Yeah, so the quiz is coming up once we hit back from the break. Hey, give the listeners on the net broadcast the first answer. Okay. All right, hold on. Hit me with the bonus content. He doesn't even know it. We'll be off with the next page, Jacob. Jacob Carson's here. Okay, here. The first question is, Pope Innocent III computed the end of the world to be 1284,

666 years after the founding of which religion? Scientology, Islam, Hinduism, or wild prognosticism? Well, you didn't give him the answer, Ben. You just read the question to him. I don't know if I can. Okay. I don't think there's a crime. Hey, welcome back. You've been listening live from the path. I appreciate you guys hanging out with us. We are broadcasting here every Saturday night. Tonight at 10 p.m. on 99.3 KTIA. And every Monday night, you can check out the live show.

I mean, it's where all the circus happens. Yeah. And it's on live from the path. Also at 10 o'clock. We only like people that stay up late. Yeah, no doubt. Or you can catch the podcast. I would sign up for the audio podcast. It really is the way to live. Here's the deal. We hold the show at 10 o'clock at night for specifically child-rearing reasons. We thought the Lord drew us into this show, but we needed to spend time with our kids, get them to bed, kiss them, hug them, read them Bible stories.

And we figured we can still do the show at 10 o'clock at night. So if you love your kids, you'll listen at 10. If you're so-so on your children. Put your kids to bed. They don't need to hear this. You'll try to tune in at 8, and I'll say, look, go read the Bible to your children. This is not worth ignoring your kids for. Definitely not. All right. Here's what we're going to do. Humility. We're moving on to the quiz. By the way, just to remind you, coming off of that break, that was Bethany Joy Johnson.

You can find more information about her by going to BethanyJoyJohnson.com. It's got information about what she has released so far. She's in the studio. We're going to talk a little bit more about that, about some singles she's got coming up, and a big Christmas show announcement. Hey, will the performances that she has on this show be on the website? You bet. You bet. We're going to be posting. You should see them online from thepath.org within the next 24 to 48 hours. I already knew the answer to that question, Ben. That's what makes this a professional operation right there, is that type of smoothness. It's like gravy.

Not the gravy that comes in the packet, either. I mean, the gravy that comes off when you actually cook a turkey or whatever. Or whatever. I'm not really sure how gravy originates. I've only seen the gelatinous can. Stay away from the or whatever gravy. It's never any good. Trust me. Like the Alpo slash Homestop gravy. Homemade or whatever. Can you make gravy out of things other than turkey? I have no idea. Yes.

Chicken gravy? Yes. There's chicken. There's beef. There's turkey. Somebody look at me. Who I can be trusted. Yeah? Ham? Ham gravy? No? No. Ham?

You bet. Hey. I do the cooking. Okay. Here's what we do. We're walking into the quiz. This quiz, it's the end of the world as we know it. But there's a lot of failed prognostications about the end of the world. I heard it once said, and I like this, is I am far more concerned about being on the welcome committee than the planning committee. And so, but a lot of people have given it a shot to be on the planning committee. Dan finds that very clever. I was enjoying that.

Okay. I was pondering. I'm glad you like it. I want plans to say. Are there any other committees? Those are your two options. Who does the decorating? I want to be on the gravy committee. Ben can make or whatever gravy. So anyway, feast of the lamb. So whatever. So anyway, here's the deal. We're going to see what you know about people who have falsely predicted the end of the world.

And here's the quiz. Here we go. First, question number one. Pope Innocent III computed at the end of the world, computed the end of the world to be 1284, 666 years after the founding of which religion? A. Scientology. B. Islam. C. Hinduism. D. Wild prognosticism. Dan Hudson. I'm going to say that's probably about the time that Muhammad stuck his head in a pillow and had a hallucination. And I'm going to say B. Islam.

B. Islam. Bethany Joy Johnson. What? Are you cavorting? I was like, this isn't like a test. I think we're allowed to ask the audience. There's no call a friend on this. There's no call outs. Dang it. I'm going to go with… What'd you go with? I went with B. Islam. Okay, good.

I'm going to do D. Why his choice? I feel like we should let her call a friend. John Buva III. Troy Engeldinger. I'm going to go with B. I'm going to side with Dan. John Buva says B. Islam. Mike, good. I'm hitting Hinduism. And if he would… If Buva would have picked Hinduism, I'd have had to bail. So I'm hitting C.

Okay. Pope Innocent III computed the end of the world to be 1284. 666 years after the founding of which religion. The answer is B. Yes. Islam. Come on. B. I've taken classes on Islam. I know Islam. That's why I said… Sometimes you've got to go on a limb, people. I read two pamphlets.

I know what the answer is. Okay, next question. That guy gave me a bookmark. In the 1840s, William Miller led a group now known as the Millerites and predicted the world would end A. Between 321-1843 and 321-1844. B. March 21st, 1844. C. March 22nd, 1844. Or D. All of the above. Bethany Joy Johnson. D. D. All of the above. John Buva. D.

He's hitting Mike. I feel like there's a lot of conflict there, Ben. Ben, I've got to go with… Well, not after that comment. I'm hitting C. March 22nd, 1844. Mike's going specific. March 22nd. Dan. I'm going to go A. A. Between 321-1843 and 321-1844. In the 1840s, William Miller led a group now known as the Millerites and predicted the world would end.

And the answer is D. All of the above. He made a series of continuous prognostications. He said, first, well, it's going to happen in this point in time. Did he have a radio program? Uh, and shall we attend the next prediction, please? He was born today. It's tomorrow. It didn't happen between the time span. So we said, no, it's tomorrow on March 21st, the day of. That didn't happen. So we said, no, no, no, no, no. It's March 22nd. That didn't happen either.

And then he just… And then people stopped listening. Doesn't that happen with like anybody that predicts? Yeah. Isn't that kind of embarrassing? It's like everybody knows if you're wrong. Go out and buy everything back again. Try again in five years. There has to be a certain bravado about you to go, I'm stepping in a 4A. I'm going to throw a guess out. You know what I'm saying? The Lord has best me with a vision to be a day off. Well, I meant Eastern time.

The Lord didn't move for daylight savings. Next question. In the 1530s, a small group of Anabaptists took over the German town of Munster and declared it to be the new Jerusalem, awaiting the return of Jesus. Which of these were true of the man who led the group? A, he had multiple wives. B, he issued money that contained prophecy the last days. C, his occupation was that of a tailor. D, his hem was nailed to the city gates when it was retaken. And E, all of the above. Mike. It's going to have to be occupation tailor, Ben. He's a tailor.

Dan Hudson. I just never trust a tailor. Good point. I'm going to go with A, weird people have lots of wives. Okay. Bethany, Julie Johnson. I'm going against grain. B. Okay. B, issued money that contained prophecy the last days. 1530s, a small group of Anabaptists took over the city of Munster in German, called it the New Jerusalem. The man that led the group is, it's true of him that it is E, all of the above.

He had multiple wives. I was going to say that. Issued money that contained prophecy. I skipped you, Buva. His occupation was that of a tailor. So we're all winners on that one? And he had a rough run at the end. Yeah, everybody wins. Yay! Congratulations. Best game ever. I was waiting. Next question.

In 1524, many astrologers came to the conclusion that the end of the world would come about by a giant flood. This conflicts with which of the following statements made from the Bible? A, I will never flood the earth again. B, I will never share secrets with astrologers. C, I will never refer to a flood as giant because it's not a statement of volume or really a legitimate measure at all. D, the first five chapters of Genesis are totally a joke. Whiz bang. John Buva. I'm going to go with A. A, I will never flood the earth again. Mike.

Bold statement, Buva. I'm also going to say A. Dan Hudson. Ever since the time of Daniel, God stopped talking to astrologers, so I will say A, I will never flood the earth again. Dan's gone with E, gravy. Bethany. I hate peer pressure, so A, I'm giving in. She's giving in. Rainbow. The answer is, I will never flood the earth again. That is correct. Solid.

Yay. God wasn't really explicit that one of a shared secrets with astrologers. It just seems like something he's chosen not to do. Yeah, it's a trend. It's not more of a statement. All right. Next question. Final question. Which historical figure was exhumed from his grave in May of 1000 AD so that he could fight the Antichrist whose arrival was anticipated in that year? Mike. What are the options, Ben? I'm sorry.

A, Genghis Khan. B, Charlemagne. C, Duke Felsbury III. D, Charles Bronson. Mike. If it's not C, Duke Felsbury III, then I'm not living and breathing. Dan Hudson. I'm going from the night at the museum, and so I'm going with letter A, Genghis Khan. Genghis Khan? E. B. B, Charlemagne. John Booba.

See, now I look like a bandwagoner. I'm B. You're going with B. B. Charlemagne. Which historical figure was exhumed from a grave in May of… Charlemagne? I can't control him from over here, Mike. This is a radio station. Behave yourself, Booba. When did we start that? Which historical figure was exhumed from his grave in May of 1000 AD so that he could fight the Antichrist whose arrival was anticipated in that year?

The answer is B, bandwagon Charlemagne. Oh, yes. Who is Duke Felsbury III? I made him up. He's not a legitimate historical figure. I feel like I walked in a black hole, Ben. And just to make it known, I just got all those right. What? No, you didn't. You didn't even vote on one of them. Yeah. Okay. I'm sorry, Troy.

We all got the point for that one, I thought. Do you need three hands to pat yourself on the back? Take care of the other side for me. Can I borrow one of your hands? I'm busy congratulating myself. I'm pretty proud of myself right now, actually. You're listening to Life on the Path. I hope you enjoyed that quiz. If you like quizzes like that, if you go to lifeonthepath.org, there's a whole section of games and quizzes. Secular vs. Solomon is out there. You can catch one of the classics, which was Things Heard on Christian Radio This Week to Raise Money.

That's out there. There are some deplorable ones. Some pretty embarrassing items. But thank you for hanging out with us here on Live from the Path. We do appreciate you. And, you know, sometimes we get the question of how you can help out the show. And I know you're listening to a Christian radio station, so you're used to a certain type of request. But here's what I'm going to ask that you do. If you really want to help out Live from the Path, if you could do business with our sponsors, because they're the reason that we're on the air, and pray for us. That our show would seek God's will in the things that we talk about, and that sometimes our show does come close to a line.

So help us to talk about things in an honest way, in a truthful way, but to seek God's glory in the conversation. So if you could do that, that would make us very happy, and we appreciate you listening and hanging out with us here on Live from the Path. I tell you what, let's, okay, I want to know what's going on with this Christmas show. Okay. What is the big Christmas announcement? Okay, the big Christmas announcement is, December 16th, 630, First Baptist Church in Indianola. I will be opening for a comedy routine, I believe is how you say it. It's going to be awesome. Everybody is welcome. Bring everybody.

It's free? It's free. It's big money. Yes. Five at the door. Free. Yeah. Free, free. Yes. How much is that? Wait a minute, this is kind of a vague comedy routine thing you're saying. What? What do you know, do you know anything more about the comedy routine?

Can you tell a joke? Well. I don't think she's doing a comedy routine. No. I just wanted to see if she could tell a joke. Oh, okay. It's going to be awesome. There'll be lots of surprises. When is it? December 16th at 630. I really enjoy the vagueness of the show. There's going to be funny stuff and surprises. So December 16th.

That's all you need to know. Okay. No, I agree. When somebody invites you somewhere, it's like, you know. There's going to be surprises. I'm actually completely won over by the prizes and it's going to be funny. If you have a demand, I'm easily swayed. And some other kind of gravy stuff. That sounded way better than whatever I had planned for that night. You know? Do you have a list of demands that you give them saying, if I show up, I need to have certain colored flowers and that kind of stuff? Yes.

Presence would be good. I'm just kidding. No, you don't have to bring. Just come. Hang out with us. Is it acoustic or full band? Full band. Full band. Everybody will be there. All right. Ben, games, prizes, full band. I can't. That's some kind of comedy routine.

Jugglers? No, Dan. I don't think we should keep promising things. If you're going to do it, yeah, there will be. Don't feel bad. Dan got out of the promotion game years ago. Five bucks used to buy Twix and he gave them. Nobody comes for the jugglers. Well, that's very cool. That is cool. So it's December 16th. It's at First Baptist Church in Indianola. 6.30 p.m.

6.30 p.m. It's free to get in. Games, live performances, full band. Full band. You're only getting a taste of what the Bethany Joy Johnson experience is by listening to Live from the Path. And I hope you like it. But you can catch the full band on December 16th. Absolutely. And so kind of going along with that, we were talking about Christmas and it reminded me of the season coming along and everyone's releasing Christmas albums. Yeah. And I mean, Andy Williams is gone.

God bless him. I mean, I don't know, someone's got to fill the void. You know what I'm saying? Wait, it was Andy Williams that died this year, right? I don't know. Did I get that right? Yeah. Okay. Everybody knows Andy. I'm up at the times. I'm up at the times. Wait, who? Other folk singer.

Don Dever. No, Mayberry. Sheriff. Andy Griffith. Andy Griffith also died this year. Okay, man. It's a bad year to be an old Andy folk singer. Fair enough. Okay. Anyway. So anyway, someone needs to fill the void. This is important to me. Somebody needs to fill the void and I think Live from the Path is going to do it.

So I'm just going to give you a little bit of a taste of the Live from the Path Christmas album. I do hope that you enjoy it. This Christmas, don't subject your family and friends to the same tired old Christmas songs. No albums were actually produced in the making of this commercial. Keep your money and give it to someone in need.

All images, trademarks, voice marks, and fleas courtesy of Big Donkey Incorporated. Sorry, no CODs. And you're listening to Live from the Path. I hope you, uh, you can still buy that. That's available. I hope you didn't leave. The best album ever. Let's line off the shelves. We're going to get sued. By multiple agencies. If we're lucky. Uh, I saw Jose. Did you know he was blind?

These are things that I had no idea, but he was playing the national anthem. Uh, yeah. I don't know what that says to me about anything. Maybe blind guys don't sue people? I don't know. Here's all the input. It's just something that popped in my head, you know? Okay. All right, you're listening to Live from the Path. Thanks for hanging out with us so far tonight. We're in studio with Bethany Joy Johnson. Uh, you can find her clips on our website at livefromthepath.org. And, uh, you can also check out her website at bethanyjoyjohnson.com.

Find more information about her. You can, uh, you can get her album and, uh, you can find out where she's going to be and stuff that's going on in her life. And so tell us a little about, you said, uh, you've been in the studio recently and, uh, recording singles. Just, uh, just a little bit about that. Yeah. I, um, started writing again this summer, um, while I was doing shows and I started writing this song called Lost and it was just kind of a fun little song that I started writing. And then after I did it for a couple of shows, people were like, why don't you record it? I want this song because it gets stuck in my head all day. I'm like, what's better than having it stuck in your head all day, all day, every day. Yeah.

All the time. That's what you're going for, right? Absolutely. So we're recording this one right now. I'm also working on a Christmas song that should be hopefully recorded in the next couple of weeks. Wait a minute. Is it, are you covering already one or you're writing one fresh? This is the hardest song I think that I've written is a Christmas song because every time you start writing something about Christmas, you start singing like Bing Crosby. It ends up Jingle Bells and you're like, oh, already taken. Oh, I know. It's, yeah, it's been rough, but it's coming along.

I'm excited. Are we going to, are we going to hear Lost then, Bing? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. But, but there's, there's instructions to this, right? Yes. Okay. I'm ready. Yeah. Okay. So he's going to play, you guys are going to echo me. Okay.

Ready? Yeah. It's really technical. It's really technical. Yes. Okay. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, That's it. You guys are on the Christmas album. All right. Let's try not to sound like the Jolly Green Giant. Hey, I feel like, I feel like we were set up. Yeah.

This is all we got. He knew that Jolly Green Giant thing was going to happen when he walked in the door. I'll try the tenor part. Them fellas are going to do it just like that. Hey, it's the Red Robin guy. Ho, ho, ho. See, it could be Green Giant or Red Robin. Yummy. Okay, sorry. Another segue. There we go. I've seen this show before. No.

Okay. Are we supposed to do that like whenever it comes up? Oh. I'll let you know. Okay. Something, you know. I feel like we're being moved to the bench, man. You guys are in. I was mistaken. There's not a rounder thing. Okay. You ready to kick it off? Let's do this.

This is Lost with Bethany Joy Johnson. You're listening to Live from the Path. Call me till I found the one. Part of me won. Like that you had my heart. Knows everything. But it's beating for my side. I'm not sure. It was the right road to you. You found me. Like knowing you were made for me. Search the world. But nobody comes.

I'm with you. I'm with you. Troubles melt away. More blessed today than I was yesterday. I'd be a better me with you by my side. I'm not sure. It was the right road. You found me. All right, boys. You guys ready? Warm up. He's a man in the middle. He's honest together.

You found me. She's right. I was good. That worked out really well that I did not have a microphone. Now, hold on. Now, that's not out for CD yet? Or you're working on it? This is what I'm working on. Yeah, I totally did. We just recorded it. It's a live CD now. Now, that's true. You can catch a sampling of it.

You guys are going to throw this on iTunes. Yeah, boy, that was catchy. Make all this money off it. I feel like I just quit my job listening to that song. I don't know why. It just makes me want to kick open the door of some low-rent diner. I'm like, I'm out of here. I'm ready to live life. Walking down the street. And I'm a woman. Whoa. And I'm a lady. And I'm a lady.

Probably get the job out of the diner before you quit the job out of the diner, Mike. All right. Man, that was great. That was Bethany Joy Johnson. That was awesome. You're listening to Live from the Path. Beth, and again, you can find more information about her. So when can they expect to be able to get that? Yes. Soonish. Soonish. Put it on the calendar under Soonish. Check back the website.

Excellent. That's a way to hook them in. I know. Okay. You want information? You're going to have to go and check it out. You probably won't have it yet at the concert coming up, though. No. That would be really soon. That would be really soon. Really soon. Like December 16th at the First Baptist Church in Indianola at 630. That'd be pretty soon.

That's pretty close, right? Yeah. It's a little sooner than Soonish, Dan. All right. All right. Yes. Cool. Mike, people need advice. What's up? Dan's the best wingman in the business. I'll tell you that. You can't pay enough money for a man like Hudson. Dear Live from the Path, I recently began a new job.

And although I love what I do, I have only one problem. My boss, Harold, remember the rule? If he's in quotes, he's the offender. Harold does not like eating lunch by himself. Every day he asks me what I'm doing for lunch. If I say I brought my lunch, he wants me to eat it in his office with him. If I tell him I'm going out, he wants to go out together. I don't think he's attracted to me. I just think he hates being alone. He's entirely too clingy, and I feel my lunch break is supposed to be a time for me to do whatever I want. I don't believe the last lady who worked for him had a problem with this, but I do. How do I tell him no without offending him or hurting his feelings?

Harold. Harold is her problem. Yeah. She's naive. You think he really is attracted to her? You think that's the deal? You can't just be a creepy, lonely fellow? Like one of those Hallmark movies. Yeah, exactly. What? The Hallmark movies don't have a creeper in it? No. First of all, I've never seen a Hallmark movie.

Maybe it turns out to be the one she's, you know. So they're meant for each other. She's taking a completely different road than you have. Yeah. So Allison, they have a woman in the room. Yeah. You say creeper, she says future husband. Well, I don't know if he's creepy. I'm just saying he's obviously attracted to her. Hey, you know, I just want to have lunch with you every day. I mean, you know. Yeah, I would agree. I mean, even if it's attracted to you in some way or another.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Seriously, like I would feel like if I had done that, let's say I'm Harold, right? And don't we figure out. That changes everything. I feel like I'm just a regular guy. Harold. So my friend asks people. So I don't know. Well, I feel like that as a dude, about the third lunchtime in, I'm like, I think I'm coming off creepy. I should tone this down. Exactly. So I feel like he doesn't know the difference.

But see, you're saying that because you're not attracted to her. No, that's true. Because you don't even know her. No guy does anything unless there's something in it for him. Man, you called it. She's naive. The chat agrees he's a creeper. Okay, it's creeper all the way around. So she needs to tell him no. The question was, how can she tell him without offending him? That's the answer. Yeah, if you're not interested, say, oh, by the way, my boyfriend's a kickboxer in a cage fighter.

Dan, why doesn't you always resort to lying? Oh, you do do that. I'm a bad liar. You think I'd get good after a while. I'm dating a cage fighter. You don't want to mess with me. Okay, you could just say, oh, by the way, I don't think it's right. We're employees, co-workers, you're my boss. I shouldn't be doing this. Don't do it. Don't do it. Yeah. Man, she's trying not to hurt his feelings, right?

And I understand that in an attempt to protect the guy. Because the reason to not hurt his feelings is because I think there is a strong potential that he does like her. And I think the way that she's asked the question, she probably recognizes that. Otherwise, if he didn't like her, you're not likely to hurt his feelings by saying, hey, man, I don't want to go to lunch with you every day. Right? So, and I would guess, again, by the way that she's framed the question, is that she does not like him in return necessarily, like in that way, in the same way that, she thinks that he may like her. So, I don't know. Do you think it's wrong to cut it down and like say, hey, you know, I'd be glad to go to lunch with you like on Tuesdays or whatever, but I'd like to have my lunch time to myself

other than that. That doesn't hurt. That's not stringing him along. You know. I think I would make lunch plans every day. Just to avoid him? Like, that's a lot of work, isn't it? No, no. No, that's not what I do. But no, that gives the opportunity for the next person for him to cling on to that person. It's a great pass off or something. She should just say, hey, I read my Bible in every woman's battle book on lunchtime. So, I feel like a man who's creepy would not really take it against him.

Here's what I'm saying. You're going about this all wrong. He says, hey, would you like to go out to lunch? You say, balloons. And then stand awkwardly until he's creeped out. I think you one-up him. So, it's changed the creepiness. Mr. Mike, I'm not direct. Yeah, that's true. This is not really my style. I'm proud of you. That's absolutely ridiculous. Here we go.

Hold on. What, John? Go ahead. John Booba. This is John Booba. The third thing is going to stick. I can just tell. Honestly, if you're that creeped out by it, you obviously don't want it to happen. You need to tell the person that you don't want it to happen. If you want to eliminate it, they need to know that you don't want it to happen any longer. It doesn't have to be a weird conversation saying, hey, you're a creeper. I don't like the way that you look at me. And then take me to lunch.

Say, you know, I appreciate our work relationship. I like the friendship we have. I appreciate our boss to associate relationship, but at the same time, it needs to stay that and not move any further. I got to talk with my attorney to see if this is harassment. I'll get back with you. Don't involve an attorney. Don't involve HR. You don't need to bring them in. It's the relationship between the person and the person. You got rid of this balloons thing way too early. I'm telling you. Save balloons.

I might use that sometime. Do a little dance. That's great advice. Start eating ridiculous things, and then they'll be like, no, I don't want to be around that. That's disgusting. I'm a troll. You got to be a straight dealer. You got to just handle it right. Be nice to the guy. Be fair. Be honest. Secular says, tell your boss politely but firmly that you like balloons. I'm sorry.

That slipped out. Tell your boss politely but firmly that you need your lunch hour to perform personal tasks. Go shopping, make personal phone calls, or catch up on some reading. There's Dan Hudson. I'm personally trying to avoid you. You are entitled to that break time, and that is what it should be used for. That's weak. That's horrible. Yeah. Just be honest. I rarely find myself in agreement with John Boeber III, but I mean, I think this, what do you gain by not being honest with someone and just saying, hey, man, I don't want to go to lunch.

They're going to be more offended that you weren't willing to be honest with them. Especially if it takes like eight months to do it. It's like, why didn't you just say something? Yeah. I could have been having lunch with someone that could have. I've been buying balloons for weeks trying to get you to come over. You keep telling me about these balloons. For seven years, my wife finally just told me, I really don't like it when you're around. It took her a long time to get there. But I felt it. You should have told me that. But the communication finally got crossed. The honesty brought us closer together.

Here we go. Dear Live from the Path. Oh, boy. A family member has six cats and wants to have the Thanksgiving meal at her house. Every time I eat there, I find cat hair on the table and on the plates and in the food. I don't want to cause hard feelings, but how do I handle this? I'm allergic to cats. These people are such pansies. I'm sorry. If it's that big of a deal, then you're allergic to cats. Tell them, hey, I'm allergic to cats. I can't come over.

How close of a relative is this, you think? Who doesn't know you're allergic to cats? That's a legitimate thing, though. It's not just like, hey, I have this unnatural, creepy thing with cats. You are allergic to cats. From family experience, we had a family member that was allergic to cats. We had a cat who had just had kittens. There was lots of cats at your place. Yeah, exactly. We told them, either you don't need to come over and we can set up another place, or what we can do is we can corral the cats to the basement or a corner of the basement. I was going to say, it sounded like you disinvited them. Look, our cat had kittens.

You can't come over. We left it up to him. Good luck Thanksgiving on your own. If he wanted to come over, he was more than welcome to. If you have an honest allergy to cats, then you should be pretty mindful of where you're going. So if you have to avoid someone's house, hey, do it. That's ridiculous. If you're that worried about offending this cat lover. You know, Troy, usually I'm the direct, honest man, and I feel like you're offensive with your directness. I can see how people are taken aback by my advice. Hey, I'm allergic to dairy.

Do you want to milk? I feel like I'm looking at myself in the mirror going, oh, man. Dang it. I thought we had another fist pump. It's still, there we go. Just take it. Yeah, it's ridiculous. Dan, you want to weigh in on this thing or has it all been said? I think it's been said pretty well. She has a legitimate excuse. So I'm assuming it's a she. Why did I assume that? I don't know.

I'm offended. Secular says, your health must come first. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for that advice. Arrange to celebrate Thanksgiving elsewhere and curtail your visit. If the relative attempts to guilt you into changing plans, explain that you cannot because you have become allergic to their cat hair and dander, and your doctor has instructed you to avoid exposure. I feel like her advice is just not, like, her overall sweeping point is valid, but the way that she states it, it just sounds like you're talking to a television commercial. I don't know what it is about the way she states things, but no one talks like that. My doctor has told me to reduce my exposure, so there, I'm not coming to Thanksgiving.

You know, I had a massive toothache a few years ago on Thanksgiving, like the day before and the day of. To the point, like, I could barely, I mean, usually toothache, eh, whatever, but I had to, like, lay on a couch. I couldn't hardly do anything, and so I stayed home, and everybody went to the mother-in-law's place for Thanksgiving, and my brother-in-law came back, he's like, eh, tooth hurts, huh? I'm like, no, it really hurts. But it was magically feeling better after Thanksgiving, which did make it look pretty suspicious. But years later, they still razzed me on that. I'm like, no, why would I miss the Thanksgiving meal? It's really good. This is an excellent story, Dan.

Here's the time that I looked guilty, but wasn't. It was an awesome time. I believe you. Glad I shared that. You know, I come out on a limb with you guys, and I try to share it myself. Just get shot right now. And you, uh, tell me on the inside. Thank you, Dan. You are listening to Live from the Path. We are broadcasting here every Monday night at livefromthepath.org. You can also catch us Saturday nights on 99.3 KTIA, Boone, Ames, Parts of Des Moines, Urbandale, Clive, and if you've got a big antenna, you know. Or, uh, Ham Radio.

Actually, you can listen to it online. I downloaded the app, because I like to hear myself on legitimate radio. Although, it's not, you know, that's the biggest perversion of the operation, right? I broadcast an internet radio show, fake radio. We've got it on a decent, real radio station, and I go on the internet to listen to it. That's the way my life works. You've got to write Dear Life from the Path sometime. Yeah. We'll straighten you out. I need some advice, boy. I need some advice. So, you've been listening to Live from the Path. We are hanging out in studio with Bethany Joy Johnson.

Make sure you check out her website, BethanyJoyJohnson.com. Follow her on the Twitter, and you have a Facebook fan page. Yep. I do. All right. See? She's hitting all fronts of the media. And if you want to find it, just go to the Live from the Path Facebook page, and we like that one as well. Yeah, that's right. All right, so if you want to like Bethany, you go to Live from the Path, see what we like, because we like Bethany. All right. Very, very cool. Mike?

What are we at here? 10.55? Oh, hey, man. Tell me this poop-style advice. All right. Wait, wait. Hold it. Let me set the seat. You're walking out of your house, okay? You've got a robe on. Full-length robe. What color is it? I got it.

What's happening? White and red. It's got stripes on it. It's Santa-style. I'm ready. You walk out, and there's 10,000 people on your lawn, and they refuse to leave until you give them some bit of wisdom that means something personally to you, but also that should be able to impact their lives positively. You're giving Pope-style advice and a bathrobe in your front yard. Go. Okay, here's my advice. God's not a liar. Stop acting like he is.

And here's where it came about this week. We just get to, you know, every once in a while, about twice a year, we hit the tithe sermon, right? You know what I'm saying? And I struggle through it, and I listen to it, and I'm like, I'm going to bump it up even more. I'm going to get there, you know? I've been slowly working my way up. The Lord's been providing, and I've been attempting to be obedient, and, you know, it's been fine. Like, the Lord has blessed my decision, and it's been going well, right? So I listen to this. We had a sermon at church, and I'm like, you know, I thought, every time that I don't do this, I'm basically calling God a liar.

He says he'll provide. He says he'll do this. And I'm saying, eh, I don't think he will. And I pull in. I pull back. I give it back to old Mike. And Mike, we trust, I say. I can cover this. And then I buy soda and junk with it, and I'm terrible, right? And I thought, man, where else am I doing this? And, like, I ran into it a couple more times this week where, you know, especially in some of my work situations and some of the times when I'm talking to somebody. I was talking to a kid about Jesus today, actually.

And I prayed about it, and I said, Lord, I mean, he's talking and talking and talking. He's got the totally wrong end of the stick on this deal. And I'm praying why he's talking. I'm like, I need some words to say here. And I'm like, man, I hope God answers me. And I thought, why wouldn't he answer me? You know, like, where else? I just feel like there's a, I just saw a pattern in hindsight of all the times where God said he would provide something, and I didn't trust him to do it. And I thought, every time that I do that, I'm basically saying, look, your written word and the things you provided to me, I'm calling them false and not true. And I thought, what a fool. I'm a fool, you know?

Like, I got to put it into that. The things that God said he's going to take care of and the thing that God said he's going to provide, that's what I need to, that's what I need to bank on. So stop calling God a liar. When he says he's going to do something, he's going to do it. But he's way more trustworthy than you. Yeah, that's true. My hesitancy is not a good measure of God's faithfulness. No, no. You know, and you know what kills me is, you know, people like, people always go, you know, I feel like God's kind of leading me in this direction. And I thought, I've never had that experience. The experience I get with God is when he opens a door, he opens it.

When he closes it, he closes it. You know what I'm saying? He's not a God of maybes or wishy-washy or like, let's screw with Mike today. You know what I'm saying? Like, if that's where he wants you, he'll open it and you go. If he says no, it's a no. No, you know, like, and if you want to push past that barricade, he'll shut another one until you get it, you know. And so, like, that's the other thing I was going through this week is I felt like God was leading me in a direction and I'm like, I don't know really, Lord, what you got going for me. And then for some reason, I just heard this response in my head like, you know, I don't throw out half answers, Mike.

If the answer's yes, it's a yes. If it's a no, it's a no. If it's none of your business, then it's none of your business, you know. And I thought, good enough, you know. I'm going to go back to none of my business and wait till the door opens. I like it. All right. Solid. I like it. All right. Hey, you've been listening to Live from the Path.
