But is there room for the Christian wildman, the one who just doesn’t fit with such structured disciplines, at least with such rigidity of time and frequency? 500 years ago no one had an alarm clock nor a personal copy of the Scriptures, so how much of what we perceive as the right kind of spiritual disciplines are unique to our time?
