The car-wash jeans story

  • Is it illegal to drive with jeans hanging out the car window?

A host tells a story about washing grease-stained work clothes at a car wash (they would stain the washer at his in-laws') and then hanging his jeans out the driver's-side window to dry on the drive home. Two mistakes: the heavy wet jeans clanked against the car like the wheel had popped off, and he forgot to wring out the waistband so water ran down onto him. He wonders aloud whether driving like that is illegal, and asks Tim — the 'cop' from the training video — for a verdict. The bit continues into laundry logistics (batches, in-laws, engine degreaser) and joke stain-removal tips: lemon juice, almond paste, 'dad's spit is a universal cleaner,' and dryer sheets in car vents.
