Tim's three books and the case for office politics as influence
- Why would a normal person buy Tim's book Gust?
Tim confirms he has written three story-driven books: 'SWAT: Seize the Accomplishment,' 'Gust: The Tailwind of Office Politics,' and 'SWOT' (about systems thinking, cause and effect). The hosts roast his author photo (he looks like the Willy Wonka gobstopper-buyer's man, 'Slug worth') and his back-cover advanced praise. Asked why a normal person would buy Gust, Tim explains that wherever two or more people gather there will be politics, and the book teaches how to influence people — prompting the running 'influence or manipulate' line and a test case: getting one host to stop wearing his shirts.
