Dan describes connecting with Hippo Valley Christian Mission after a Facebook-group moderator's death, funding Bible-college students at $100 a month, and joining the Living Proof child-sponsorship program. He explains the trip as a scouting/verification visit with his daughter Shanna before next year's team, so the church can confirm the work is legitimate before investing more.
