Pastoral testimony: visiting an anxious non-church family
One host tells of doing two funerals for a family over the past year and a half; during the COVID crisis the family, who do not attend church, reached out in anxiety and asked him to come to their house. Though tired on a Sunday afternoon with a prison visit already scheduled, he went, spent an hour in conversation, and later noticed people smiling outside, including someone who had been afraid to leave the house. He frames it as simply showing up and caring.
