AI image generation and the Lensa app's sexualized images
Ben's second example is AI image generation: the popular Lensa app and a describe-anything image generator that rendered an eight-foot man in an Abraham Lincoln hat riding a unicorn across Abbey Road in the style of MC Escher. He flags real risks: a man published a children's book with fully AI-generated images; Lensa, given 20 user photos, tended to produce sexualized images of women, in some cases naked images from only children's pictures, and in one reported case doubled an Asian woman's breast size in a fifth of the images. The hosts note the privacy invasion and the deepfake risk of fabricating pictures of events that never happened.
