Then the early-church category's worst-performing quiz: Paul's shipwreck (Acts 27), 12 questions. Guessing their way through — Cleophus (the Blues Brothers reverend) for the centurion instead of Julius, La Salle instead of Phoenix, Crete instead of Malta, 'we're not told' instead of 276 souls — they score 7 of 12 (59 percent), beating the 51 percent average but, as noted, 'a failing grade at any school in the country.'
