Tongues: Paul's descriptions versus modern expressions

A host says nothing suggests God stopped gifting, but much of what is called tongues runs counter to how Paul describes it: Paul frames tongues as the reversing of Babel — one message reaching multitudes in their own languages — or as a personal gift between the believer and God, not standing up mid-prayer-meeting to say what nobody understands, which is exactly what Paul warned against. Dan (speaker-0, addressed by name at seg-00262 and seg-00687) raises the 'awesome videos' of frenzied activity; Boova (speaker-2, addressed as 'booba' at seg-00269 and 'Moova' at seg-00686) jokes about 'holy rollers' doing crunches after a pastor's spirit bomb, while a host cautions against handcuffing what could be genuine overturning-the-world work of the Spirit.
