Doing things for God versus doing things with God

The hosts work through Mike's recent mind shift: the difference between doing things FOR God and doing things WITH God. Ben (speaker-0) frames it, then hands the question to Mike; the long first-person answer that follows is labeled speaker-0 in the diarization — an apparent merge of Mike's turn into speaker-0's label, since it answers the question Ben addressed to Mike. The argument: 'for God' thinking is really arrogance — serving to prove our relationship with God to ourselves — and it misreads God's character, as if God needed us. Joining God in what he is already doing means obedience replaces success metrics; 'it becomes a success by virtue of the fact that I was obedient.' Dan (speaker-3) takes a different angle: lazy preaching sells people 'just do good stuff and let God bless it,' but the Bible is full of God doing the miraculous with almost nothing — Gideon's 300, David's five stones, Moses' staff. The segment ends with a critique of the phrase 'God showed up': God was already there; we just finally saw it.
