Pope-style advice part one: throw yourself under the bus
Boova delivers the first part of his pope-style advice: a marriage mechanic he calls throwing yourself under the bus before dragging someone under it with you — listing his own faults before raising an annoyance. He tried it on his wife this week and caught himself mid-scheme, realizing he was being petty and manipulative, and pivoted to simply thanking her for putting up with him. He also reveals the actual annoyance he was holding back: his wife's running joke 'but what even is thought?' — funny the first three times, less so on the 48,000,000th — plus her habit of quoting Katy Perry's 'do you ever feel like a plastic bag.'
