Why the same sermon lands differently

Ben presses the contrast: the Zimbabwe event and a normal Sunday are functionally the same — praise together, teach good news from the Scriptures, call people to respond — so what is the actual difference? He floats focus and the removal of noise, but lands on the people: camps and conferences are pre-filtered rooms of people who sacrificed to be there, while some church settings are closer to cultural Christianity. Dan and Mike add that Jesus did few miracles in his hometown and told the disciples to shake the dust off where the word wasn't wanted. Ben wonders aloud whether some settings are simply places where 'God's not stirring the water' or people aren't interested — while cautioning against just walking out when he's not jazzed.
