Light parties and pushing light into darkness
Ben summarizes Mike's arc: everyday 'sheep in, sheep out' faithfulness and fiercely following what God is doing are both true — the only thing that tells you which shape your life should take is whether you're listening to the Father. Mike adds that events are mostly 'light parties' — God's people facing him in worship, a shadow of heaven — but God is pushing light into darkness, and the integrity of the gospel shows in everyday living: 'You can tell people good news, shining shoes... bagging groceries, building houses.' Nobody is parked in the side yard to be ignored.
