The 10 qualities, part two: adaptability, empowerment, vision, decisiveness, learning
6. Adaptability: 'I will submit Jesus did none of these things' - crowds try to kill him and he walks out; they try to make him king and he eludes them; but adaptability implies being forced by circumstance, 'where Jesus, his plan was always to escape that way... they adapt to him.' 7. Empowerment: he sends people out, gives them gifts, 'act like you're me' - and sends a helper: 'I will send you a helper.' 'You put into the hands of humans the responsibility to otherwise accurately reflect you to the world. That seems like a real wild card.' 8. Vision: clear to him, cloudy for the team - 'he is vague enough that people will think what they want to think.' 9. Decisiveness: 100% - Lazarus is dying and Jesus goes 'nah, I can't make it right now,' then 'now we should go' ('Thomas is like, don't worry, we'll die, too'). 10. Continuous learning: 'No. He's real bad at that.' Verdict: 'an average leader... about 50, 50 or so' - '60, 70 percent' - by human standards. 'Jesus, you have not finished your continuing education courses. I'm going to get a Bill Hybels class.' And: 'I can't believe Brood of Vipers is harassment. I just called it what it was.'
