'Do it with me or this isn't gonna happen': Silas's show-cattle dream
Silas jumps in with his own pond: two career swaps in the last year while pursuing his actual dream — raising show cattle full time. His faith realization was 'you're gonna do it with me or this isn't gonna happen at all,' but now he's stuck measuring progress month after month: 'I'm doing it with you — why isn't it working yet?' He traces his shift from transactional faith ('if I follow you and do the things, you'll give me the cows') to 'Lord, I just want you to be in it... this isn't good if you're not in it.' Ben frames the tension: one extreme expects God to drop cows on your field unasked (the guy with a couple hundred feet of free fencing 'shows up everywhere'), the other takes out a loan and expects God to bless the returns. The honest posture: 'God, I know what my heart is... for today, I still want to raise show cattle. So will you help me see what I can do and help me join you in the things you're doing?' — while staying open to God changing his heart, since 'he is a dad who gives good gifts and guides your steps as you make your plans.'
