The overweight jogger: is God for you or against you?

Ben offers a deliberately crude thought experiment: seeing an overweight man jogging, you can mock him or cheer him on - and asks which posture resembles God's toward strugglers. He argues God is not shouting "good freaking luck, you dirty sinner" but coming alongside: "you go after it, man. In fact, I'm coming out with you." The room then polls whether most people believe God is for them or disappointed in them.
