Habit 5: don't avoid difficult conversations
Start age-appropriate early and it's not hard later. Dan talked "boys stuff" with his young daughters at a fish-tank level; Ben says the word "menses" openly at home so it's normal, not awkward. Mike's joke version: "when an Adam and Eve love each other very much." Boova: these kids didn't choose their father — it's the dad's liability to be the best one possible, so difficult topics can't be deferred.
