Is community overprescribed? Paul is big on unity, not programs; missionaries live for decades without constant-contact community. Nothing biblical requires a small group at your local church — the early church did not have to be cajoled into gathering. The hosts describe lonely, depressed, anxious generations and Pathway's work with isolated people in their seventies and eighties. Dan: at their best, church patterns try to reduplicate Acts 2, but it becomes a program — "cookie-cuttering disciples."
