A listener's close friend offered to pick up a few small items in town, then billed her for purchase price, tax, AND gas — for weightless items on an already-planned trip. Advice: the friend's behavior is weird ('are you hurting for cash?'), but only confront it if you're close; otherwise just don't do it again. The room then debates the $2 ethics: pay it and forfeit sass rights, or sass for free and skip payment — 'you don't get to do both.' The Secular answer calls the friend cheap.
